You make a good case for the need of government intrusion and controls.
I remember gopher and wais. Email took WEEKS on BBS's and they were small and very well managed and really well mannered communities alot like PFF.. In fact the favorite BBS was better to a degree becasue it was smaller.
Bit what has happened is it became a VERY LARGE money making venture. Spam alot like the actual product is a byproiduct of (malicious) pigs... I dont eat spam and I can delete it very easily and I dont need a spam blocker and I sure as hell dont need the government to intrude on the last FREE domain we have.

Yes you did but you didnt just come out an say it... IT IS IMPLIED.. let me demonstrate

Thats an alleged right and you took GREAT liberties to assert that all paripheral rights do not include email? it does by virtue of the fact that LAWS are created by regulating "spam" and the hijacking of "property" or "rights / entitlements"
You have a right to recieve email and you have the right to defend your right by deleteing it..
It's not an abuse of rights than cant be fixed BY AN INDIVIDUAL instead of being dependant on the pedophilic despot of freedom dear old uncle sam who just LOVES to rape freedom.
| quote | Want to send spam from your own account? Great! Go for it! Want to hack into someone elses server/account/etc to do it? Now you're infringing. You lose. |
|
No no no.. spam is illegal so spam doesnt happen.. Ohh wait... YOU LOOSE and YOU STILL PAY!! LOL
I win.. my email is hidden because I KNOW how to protect myself. My computer is behind 2 firewalls and I can if I want employ a software firewall. I'm a very good analist and for 60k I can offer my services an correct MANY problems with spam mail. May take me a while to get back up to speed on this stuff but I use KISS as a primary stratagy and will probably save the company money in the long run by removing the UN GHODLY complex and un necessary crap that some paper smart pimple face dip consulatant suggested.

Personally, I think that people who perpetrate kwrap like that ought to be relieved of their kneecaps.

|
You know and I know those sites. The best way to avoid them is to.... avoid them.
I have software that block popups as do many people but I tweek mine and I also use software that monitors changes to the registry so malware is thwarted too.
I have on RARE occasion gotten hit. But I have a separate drive that I reserve for backup. I know how to recover what I need, I have the tools and the knowledge to fix damn near every porblem except component failure.. which is different.
I also fee that people who abuse the system should be at the very least "winged" Those people being the companies with open doors and lack security. They are the REAL problems becasue those business are totally ignorant and ignorance is NO excuse.

You arent allowed to have patient record information anywhere near the internet. It has to be on a separate network that is fully secured.

You mean HIPAA The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act? LOL dweeb, go back to your thesaurus you have no idea how the real world works. Oh hey Bill theres a help desk job opening at the clinic I work for, too bad you failed the first part of the interview already.

the microsoft exchange IMF (Inteligent Mesage Filter) is a free update - but - it is a server side filter. and works pretty damn good - especially for the price - it block 98% of spam in my networks. it has a front end admin set pre-filter, and a secondary client set filter, which runs inside outlook. but, you need to be running exchange 5.5 server or later, and outlook 2003 client or later.

Iron Port When we installed it the users started calling because they thought that e-mail was down. We asked them what was missing and they said they were missing the Spam e-mails they had to delete each day. Iron port is a network appliance, we were using a software package that ran on a Microsoft OS and it did ok but wasn’t as flexible as we needed. It was an all or nothing filter and because it had to run other applications at the same time “OS” it would crash.
Iron Port came out to our site, installed the appliance and trained us before we even signed a contract with them. We used it for a month but were sold on it the first week.

I'm not responsible for your imagined implications. Using someone elses property without their permission is infringing on their rights. You don't get to have it both ways. By your definitions of how things should work, the spammers right's end as soon as they infringe on someone elses rights.

I see...
So that negates ANY culpibility on the the part of the victim who LEFT his door wide open?? Who might as well have put out a PLEASE HIJACK MY COMPUTER?
Lack of proper education. I spen thousands of dollars to be the best computer geek money can buy yes here I sit without employment becasue some dick of a CEO wanted to make a 3.5 mill bonus on top of his 35 mil salary, hires the cheapest nubile pimple faced geek (nephew) fresh out of the mint who barely know where the on button is who reads The Corporate Geek Times which is loaded with expensive, overly complex mirriad of gadgets that require years RTFM and gets paid 35k a year who will some day become the CEO. Yet costs the company untold summs who will not accept ANY responsibility for leaving the windows down, doors open and the keys hanging in the ignition.. THERE OUGHT TO BE A LAW!
I on the other hand KNOW how to effectively do the task without need of such expensive wizbang garrr bage' that makes "my job easier" and all I need is a salary of say.. 65 k.
I can save the company money by the bucket and I can minimize down time by doing my job instead of justifying it by having it replaced by a machine.. Yeah.. I actually work and I love my job..
And that guy you got?
There are MILLIONS more of them and the system of millions of Internet Nazis will require billions of tax dollars and STILL not stop it..
So quit you incessant justifications and knees bent moaning about a guy who doesnt have a job yet only gets 150 dollars of "YOUR MONEY"
You people are really really...... frustrating!
