My WCF mounts also had no fitment issues.

They look as good as new when I removed them last year. Hard ot believe yours would of folded as soon as the engine was mounted. I would of loved to see a picture of that. I had to remove my WCF mounts to lower my engine for the intercooler. I am now running stock rubber motor mounts with even more horsepower with the intercooler. They are holding up perfectly for the past year. Knock on wood. |

Hmm... Wonder if they have more than 1 guy doing the actual assembly / drilling...? Could explain it. It definitely wasn't something I did, the holes just *didn't* line up with the cradle holes. Unless my cradle is odd, but then I'd have an "odd" factory mount. I did get it in, and quicker than if I had to make my own mounts, so it's all good in the end, as long as they hold up. I'm not going nuts on the HP, so I think I'll be allright. But if someone's pushing 600HP, Purple's mounts should do nicely. Like Ski I don't plan on making it a "track queen" or whatever, just want a nice powerful daily driver, with some Mustang - eating ability at the track. Now back to our regularly scheduled post! How many more guys can we convince to go 3800?!?!

O.K. Ski........................I'm not trying to bash another vender, I'm just saying that myself and "Kev" got the same mounts at the same time and while he hasnt seen trouble yet, eveyone witnessed my front one bend as soon as it was mounted ?????? Just proving time and again the inferiority, inconsistency, and poor customer service from WCF. I also learned that you got your mounts back when ERIC was still with West Coast, in which he was the one building them and has since said himself "all that is left working there is a bunch of drunks that don't give a crap anymore" HERE'S THE SKINNY : I installed these back when the car was built last year at this time. The front mount was repaired right after it folded over and them installed them. The car has only seen 1,900 miles of which I raced 2 Mustangs, 1 Viper, 1 Mazda, and NO TRACK TIME. It has yet to be taken to the the strip for a 1/4 mile run. I would say these mounts have seen 1/3 of the miles being driven hard. The other 2/3 came from driving to Omaha and to Michigan etc. You would think they would be able to stand up to a high horsepower motor for longer than 1,900 miles.

Poor customer service is hard to argue with. lol Purple I have always been inpressed with your work. I wish we would of had time during the 20th to talk more. You were very busy. You and FieroX have been pushing the 3800 futher than anyone else. Just keep up the interesting work of pushing the envelope on the 3800 and remember that running a parts business is about doing things better than the competition in all aspects. Good luck.

Hey Shawn, Still want to know if the front mount will work with a 88 craddle; I assume not, but I'm hoping it would be a relatively easy fit.

I was talking to a guy here in Toronto last summer. He said he had the same problem with the WCF mounts. He ended up taking the bent mount to a machine shop and had them reproduce it for him in thicker steel. I never had a chance to go into much detail with him but he did say he took a bunch of pictures. If I run into him this summer I will ask him to share the pics.

Sweet ! Purple!! Is that "real" gold on them
I have yet to have any issues with my mounts, yet I have a voice in the back of my head saying to get an "extra" set. I know that Ski does not race his and some of us do every now and then. It seems like it may have been "who" and "when" the mounts were made by WCF. As far as getting another set from WCF.....hard to say at this point, I still have not had any problems with any of the products I have received from WCF. And what are the two brackets in back? are they for an auto? solid mounts huh? seems like a new dental bridge will be in the works soon ------------------ 98 3800SC GTP motor, 5sp. custom hood, trunk, side scoops,IRM front spoiler, dk.Shadow Grey
