As for the safety concerns, I can handle myself fine, but obviously as Rob didn't know me that well back then he decided at some point as we were blasting up the turnpike to finally back off and not take any chances. Can't blame him for that and I don't have a problem with that at all. I also didn't take that as him meaning that that was the best his GT could do, as I know that isn't the case owning a few GT's myself.
Keep in mind that going up the Maine turnpike, especially once you cross over the bridge from Portsmouth NH and start heading up towards OOB, that it isn't a quick 5 mile trip.
We made the long trip up to the OOB exit in less than half the time it would have normally taken. It is a bit of a drive up to OOB and we were doing over 120mph for most of that drive up the turnpike. My Fiero5 handled doing that speed just fine and goes to show you that a 4 banger, though lacking a few more cylinders than a V6 obviously can still be pretty darn impressive. That was my point. All of this came out of my making that one point.

It's no biggie, but it wasn't Jordan who was with me either, it was my oldest son Stephen. He had his own Fiero at the time, but it was still a work in process at that time so he rode with me to the show in my Fiero5.

Lastly, I never said we were full out and I never said or implied that Chesters car wasn't capable of more. Man, go back and reread it again if you are having so much trouble with any of this and save us all from having to beat it to death just for you
I said we were traveling faster than our 120 speedo's could display as they were pegged. I am sure Chesters GT had more, but that had nothing to do with the point I was making or what I was talking about. I merely stated that a few on my 4 bangers are capable of doing 120+, had actually done so on more than a few occasions and a few people including Chester could back that up. Chester did back it up, again. So let it go allready. Point made, backed up and proven.

It appears that you don't believe me. Okay, you got me. I made the whole story up. I never picked up Chester from Logan Airport on Wednesday night after he flew in from Chicago on ATA. I never saw him outside Terminal B at 6:43PM, and I sure as hell didn't drive him to Portsmouth NH (right off Rt 495 onto Rt 125) to pick up his Blazer, trailer, and Indy Pace Car. And IF all of this were true, we certainly didn't talk about anything at all.
