i think a relevant question to ask here is, what have you built?

i think archie has amply illustrated his work, here and elsewhere. so how about you guys? crzyone? stimpy? shaun? i'm sure you've all done some nice work, why dont you post here, in this thread, and list (preferably with pics and dyno sheets) what you've done? so instead of a dubious bash-fest, this thread could be a showcase of what can be done with the little commuter car? or is the car not what this thread's about? c'mom. show us.

what have you built?

Since we are posting pictures of V-8s, this is my newest project that is going into my 88 GT. Here we have a modern day FI V-8(LS4) on a 4T65E-HD trans built to handle the power that it will put out. It will go into the car in stock form at first and then be brought back out for a few go-fast MODs. The motor is only sitting on the cradle so far but I have the trans mounts ready to go on and the motor mount issue planned out but havent had a chance to work on it. I know there is no carb on it, it want be sitting to one side of the engine bay and its not attached to a stock Fiero trans but I think it will work out okay.

I had the chance to meet Orville once while he was in the middle of putting an automatic in his LS1 car because he destroyed his Getrag the first time he got on it hard. Regardless, the exact number wasn't my point. Rather, it was that people who put powerful V8s against FWD trannies break them or are afraid to (ask CaliKid).

Ask CaliKid What ??? What are you driving at ?

Stimpy, I think Curley was he was refering to those 2 threads you locked down. It seems those threads were threads making fun of the Arch-Rival & the Perfect Union as they were under construction. If you were to revive those threads then those people would have a chance to eat their words & explain away their negative comments.

He wasn't asking about engine swaps & doesn't care about engine swaps he was refering to your comments about locking down those threads. He has NStars in all of his cars, so he couldn't care about engine swaps.

I know you think they all look the same but Curley & Troy are two different people, with two different cars, with two different engines, on two different coasts.

You're talking to Curley now, he's from CA with the Arch-Rival & a NStar. The guy who won Best of Show is Troy, He's from NY has a SBC & drives the Perfect Union.

Wow, I'm just totally devastated....... I did some research..........

When Henry Ford went from the Model "T" to the Model "A" in 1928 he lowered the roof, he could be one of the pioneers of chop tops....... I'm so devastated.

I think it was 1932 when he put a flathead V-8 into his Fords....... I'm so devastated.

Wasn't it Studebaker that put suicide doors on it's wagons back in the late 1800's?........ I'm so devastated.

don't tell all the hot rodders & custom car builders for the last 60 years & all the car magazines published in the 1900's what you've told us because they'd be devastated.

You sir are an

I hope you're talking about close-up pictures of light colored Fiero hoods. That sounds like a pretty racist statement if you're talking about people.

Then I'd suggest you get your facts straight when your congratulating someone on an award.

I know enough pics of both cars have been posted that just a little research on your part would have you knowing just exactly to whom you are speaking.

Then you won't look like a racist.

First, I still don't see where I've bashed Archie in any way in this thread other then not writing him a big ass check. I've never built a car myself, but I drove an early high dollar car for quite some time, after buying it from my dad.

The FIRST Series II SC3800, circa 1997. OBD2. California smog legal. Stock motor & pulleys, cold air intake and WCF exhaust.

Discuss.

Levi, you're next.

LOL. Whatever, dude. You're the one saying "they all look alike". I know who Curly is. He's the guy who dresses like a backup singer from Cameo. Word up!

WhiteDevil88,

That car is awesome, looks like you did a lot to it..... Like changed the rims that were way played out in the early 90's (five stars).
High Dollar? What a joke, the reason this thread was started is a JOKE. As for your dyno sheet, I wasnt there to verify it so I dont believe it is valid. I have seen better looking stock cars with tinted widows.
