Here are a few pre-race photo op pics taken a few days ago:

Now we just have to find a local track that we can try this on

BTW: Thanks for the very nice compliments 84fierotrevor

Oh yeah, that 247hp turbo s. low 14's and a top speed of 162mph. Cali Kids car with a modifed l98 runs what couple mph faster? Not bad for a car that is "2900" cdn. Plus any stock 944 would rip a Fiero to shreds on twisties, given comparable driver skill. Fieros are great cars but they are not porsche's, Lambos, Vipers, etc NO MATTER WHAT KIND OF ENGINE WE STUFF IN THE BACK. But **** 2900 cdn, myabe I should come up and take a look around....

I found one for $1500cdn if your interested i can get you the info.

If that was true, the 'former' Porsche Factory Racer that owned my car previously (and raced it for 3 years) wouldn't have created it!!! For the record, I don't know what my Top Speed is, never attemped to go flat out till it wouldn't pull anymore. Figure it out using 400hp, stock Getrag 5spd, 245X50X16 rear tires, and 6,200 cap on rpm (still having over 300 ft lbs of torque at that rpm). Engine starts to 'fall off' sharply at 6,300.

Now highly modded 911's, Lambo's (even stock ones), and Vipers are another story all together. But you've got to have mega bucks to play that game, so why even try to draw a comparison on those cars???

1.) I don't know why he choose the fiero, maybe he didn't like the idea of a front mounted car and/or did not want to pay the price and parts for a 911.

2.) You car is impressive indeed, don't get me wrong. But stock for stock and comparable driver skill, the 944 handles better.

3.) My apologies, I thuoght your car topped at mid 160's. That is great for a modded Fiero.

I was trying to take anything away from your car. Just making a comparision.

stock for stock wasnt the 944 about 3x the asking price of a fiero in 1985-1988?

Sorry, but a STOCK 944 is nothing to write home about. It is comparable to speed and handling of other sport compacts including....yes, the Fiero.
The one I will be racing has a stock 4 banger in it. Yes, driving skills will be very important, and yes, I expect to get beat.
But lets be fair nere, I have as much of a chance of winning as he does.
But lets not lose focus on some trying to make a 944 sound like it will perform like a turbo 911, because it will not.

Please remember, it's just for fun.

What's the point? Yeah, they were. Know why? Becuase one was a sports car from a company that makes it bread and butter off of sports cars, and one was a commuter that ....oh nevermind this is pointless.
Next topic: Why the fiero is better than the Veyron. God those Veyrons are expensive....

Which stock models? Last I checked, the 944 is still considered to be one of the best handlers every prodcued. I have never seen that given to the fiero. The 944 Turbo s has 247hp THATS STOCK DUMB@$$. But here I will do this again. First base model VS base model
From lisa's page:

Fiero 2.5: 0-60 10.9 1/4mile: 18.1@79mph top speed of 90ish if it was lucky

944 na 2.5: 0-60 8.7 1/4mile: 16.4s top speed of 134mph

Well first round goes to the 944 by far. Round 2

Fiero 86 2.8: 0-60 7.1 1/4mile 15.0@90mph(I think you numbers are a little of lisa but that ok.)Anyway, this is the fastest fiero I could find.

944 S2 2.5naDohc: 0-60 6.7 secs 1/4mile: varies 14.7 - 15.2 Top speed of 152 MPH
BANG BANG! Does your GT RUN 152 mph...Stop lying....

Well I can't fing any fieros that run faster than 15 flat stock but here is the rest of the STOCK(READ THAT FIERO5 -STOCK 944 family anway's:

944 turbo: 0-60 6.0 sec 1/4 mile: 14.2
89 turboS: 0-60 5.5 sec 1/4 mile: 13.5

Of course not, but 944....Um Porsche....911 turbo....hey thats a porsche too! Whadda you know? That thing you drive? An insult to me as a Fiero owner.

Go pay your buddy in the 944 off, make your kid happy, and quit comparing your car to cars out of its league. You wanna race a 944....Just let me know....
