Steveeeeeee We weren't there period! All the"shows" I have gone to were FUN! NO MATTER WHAT! It takes tons of work to pull a large show like that together. We all should try to be a host for a show once and a see just how it is! IT'S NOT EASY!! (and mine was a small get together) Why does this subject bother you so much that you had to go this route?? Talk to me buddy and drop this thread please.

Dude... I asked if other's felt like it was a conflict... NEVER said he did a bad job, or it was easy to do what he did. I JUST THINK IT WAS WRONG!!

This is why we at NIFE don't allow our board members to be in our fierorama. All of us on the board get a sign that says in bold letters "board member car, do not vote." Now Bob and i had a falling out once before but on this i must take his side. His car is very nice and it doesn't suprise me that he took an award. At the dells we gave away an award for the best daily driver that best preserves the excitment. (That's our clubs motto btw.) All of us on the board voted on Bobs car. The thing has about 300k on it and yet it looks better then a lot of the trailer cars! Now, having said that, i have seen Bobs car where as smooth has not. It's never been on the forum so he has no idea how it looks and he voiced a concern after many others had questioned Bob. Is that so hard to understand?? Sure i think smooth is wrong but does he deserve a flame for it? Most importantly; does he deserve bad ratings for it?? I'm pretty sure that is not what Cliff intended the rating system for. It's for getting rid of trolls and people who cause trouble not because you disagree with what someone else thinks. It's getting so people can't say what they think anymore for fear of getting booted off the forum. That's not right.

Well flames or not (my 2cents worth) In my opinon my hats off to MFC & CFOGi (good job on the 20th) most don't know what a job it is to put together something of that size and it was well done.. You are going to have some type of trouble at a show no matter what..(that's a giving), how well you handle it can be "for you or against you". The issue of judging has been brought up and i'm thankful i wasn't in lane #3 where someone got their job wrong.(it happens, there should be someway to correct it) but even with that this was a better way to judge a show of this size, although i would have asigned class lanes so that only one or two of the same judged the whole class but that isn't the issue..was it fair to have Bob's car in the show and to be judged?? my answer is "yes", he wasn't in any of the classes that were up for Best of Show. From what i saw the judging was fair and indepentant from being swayed toward the hosting clubs. If you weren't in the show don't flame the show! others have cripes and their case should be heard, "they were in the show", some people have no scope of what it took to pull this off, and when there was a problem it was corrected asap. I haven't been reading alot of threads that i'm going to have to go back throught to get caught up on but for someone to want to get rid of their car because of what was said?? "you guys need to lighten up" The 20th was to be a celebration for a car we love to own.. It was.. people did their best so that others would enjoy the show. To those that think otherwise... Let's see you put on a better show.. I put a lot of effort and research into getting the 90 prototype and other prototypes to this show (twice) which MFC finally closed the deal on,just so that others could see what i saw at a street rod show in kentucky and I've been invited back to see what else GM has. Would i put forth the same effort so that others on this forum could see what else GM has that i get to see??.."it ain't looking good"

I will say this! I think the show was a great ordeal for a group to put on. Second so what if Bob enterd his car, I don't think there would be or should be a conflict of interest in that. Sometimes some people should just think before they open their mouths and start complaining! When people post certain subjects on here there is always going to be people that not going to see things eye to eye, but when you post a subject about a certain individual or a fellow fiero forum member that is just pulling down what we are all here for. To rap it all up in an egg shell sometimes complaints are like A$$holes everyone has one but we don't want to hear yours! By the way Bob and the fellow men and women that organized the show GREAT JOB!!! Korey

I don't think smooth was insuating anything. I think he was asking everyone if they had a conflict of interest. He was asking people how they felt about the whole thing. He wasn't going around and pointing fingers or names to any conspiracy of any such. He was merely asking what were your feelings on the matter. Clear? Kruz

I use to go to some very big carshows around 800-1000 cars. Anyone who was affiliated with the club that was putting on the show could not enter their car. I know the Fiero world is alot different because we cant draw these kind of numbers,so we just need to trust those involved.------------------ Scott 86GT 3.4 turbo
