Both Jason and Rob have it EXACTLY..........I dont want a piece of sh$t 50 cent trophy. It was the fact that I wasnt judged AT ALL with the rest of the cars FAIRLY. ( due to a certain a$$hole ) I would have loved to see where people think I need work.

How can you obtain a copy of your judged score sheet of your car?
That would be cool to have.

I honestly do not know all of the details, but here's what I do know:

On Saturday around 2pm I was told that the judges were not judging the X Class (competition cars) and that we - the 5 in our class - were to vote for the top 3 so that the class could be awarded at the banquet. What was not known was that earlier in the day 2 from the X class HAD been through the judging lanes. These 2 that went through the lanes got the trophies. Our 'private' voting was nullified.

I did not know about your issue until almost 4pm, and I was quite upset to hear about it.

EDITED WITH NEW INFORMATION:
The Class X cars were not supposed to be judged because these cars were not street legal or licensed, and as such did not have any insurance coverage if anything should happen (ie; someone gets run over). As such, they were not supposed to be driven at the show, including the judging lanes. This was not clearly explained, and that's how 2 got in and through the judges' lanes.

Steve... judging sheets were made available after the banquet in the hallway outside (they were spread over a couple of tables).

I was not expecting to win anything, But i do feel that the judging should have been fair.

My car was no show winner, anyone there could have told me that, I knew it and everyone else did, but after looking at my score sheet i was kinda upset.

my interior was VERY CLEAN, STOCK 85GT seats with no rips, and only one stain on the passenger side, no broken corners or warped dash pieces, the headliner was hanging alittle but no rips, and it had a sunroof anyway, so it wasnt noticable, (like the judge even looked) i got a 2 outta possible 10 from the judge.

i had 4 new tires put on my car before i left for the show..... i got a 2 outta 5 on the tires. and 0 on rims with nice chrome AR-25's

they gave me a 2 out of 10 on engine bay also after i had new powdercoated valve covers and plenum (well painted with high temp red paint) the body on my car was very very flawed but the rest of the car was in good shape. and i drove it into the lanes without having a hint of a problem.

last but not least, i was placed in street class, for my daily driver, almost stock 85GT. Needless to say i was kinda mad.

and i feel that the judges should have had to walk around to the cars, not people drive there cars to the judges. that was VERY hard on the cars to sit still for upto 90 minutes without moving or anything in 85-90* weather.

I know EXACTLY what going on. You guys are cry babies. I know what it's like to put your heart into a car and to walk away without "formal" recognition for your work but that's life. I didn't win anything at Daytona but did at Pontiac, that's life. Some mistakes were made, but that's life. PURPLE, you ran your car hard and it broke, that's life.

PURPLE - I spoke with you at the show and gave you complements on your car. You seemed like a nice enough guy. My comments to you are based on your wining, not your work or your car. The purpose of judging is for trophy award... period. If you don't care for trophys, then SHUT THE HELL UP.

Your car was in the paper... good for you. Have it framed and stick a blue ribbon on it if it makes you feel better.

MINNGREEN - Thanks for the complements but these crybabies just make my skin crawl.

Hear's what you guys sound like: BOO HOO. I didn't win so I'm going to make everyone else as miserable as I am.... BOO HOO

Grow up.
