Hmmm... I guess I never realized that one had to be asked for an apology for it to be recognized or accepted...? I must've missed that in etiquette school

I'm not trying to be difficult here, just trying to explain that there are plenty of other ways (besides insults, belittling, talking down, and being hard-nosed) to work out negative commentary here on the forum. We all have a common interest, it's what binds us all together... there's no need to act like people are out to get you or anything. Just simply explain your position in a friendly manner and things won't go this way...

MinnGreenGT: How are you going to compare your 47 feedback comments to his 951? He has dealt with 20x more people than you have and all of them have high praise for the man. I sold cars for forty years and I can tell you that no one else I know that has dealt with that many people has 100% satisfactory comments like he does. This should tell you something!

I have dealt with Lou in person and he is a true gentleman. As a matter of fact I wish everyone were as truthful and helpful as he is. I sold him my 13 mile 88 t-top GT, and before he bought it I also had people asking me if I would trade, or if I was willing to take low ball offers. After months of people (that did not have the means to buy the car) asking every conceivable question on the planet I thought that I would never find a serious buyer, so I know how he feels. I posted the car on this forum; Lou contacted me and came to see the car the next day. After he saw the car paid in cash without any nonsense, he is the real deal. I have also purchased several Fiero related items from him and they have all been better than he described. I was never insulted talked down to or belittled, by Lou: on the contrary he has always taken the time to answer all my Fiero questions with great detail and patience. I think what Lou is forgetting is that there are a lot of immature people on this forum who have nothing positive to contribute and it is pointless to try to educate them because all they want to do is argue.

note to all "immature people" on this forum. Please continue to point out any items for sale that can be easily aquired for less. I am not a wealthy man and appreciate it. Checked the local junkyard for kicks. 75 bucks.

I'm sure I may just be fueling the fire here, but I feel the need to continue (whereas I felt the right thing to do in my 1st thread with lou was to just let it go...)

I never said I was comparing my score... he asked a simple question: "how is your eBay feedback?" And I correctly responded with factual data. It was as simple as that. In my response I also clearly recognized that my numbers were not quite so quantative as his. But as I stated... that number does not necessarily reflect friendliness (consider also how he used my high post volume to insult me in my previously linked topic- which was completely unnecessary and uninformed...)

I'm sure that lou may very well be a gentleman in person... but he hasn't really shown that side of him here recently.

I do recall your thread (if you browse many other recent topics in which I have responded, you'll se that I have quite a memory for old topics, details, and photos) from when you were selling your low mileage GT. As a matter of fact I was telling someone about it just a week ago when discussing the "collector value" of Fieros. I felt that your car was worth every penny for which you were asking. It was as simple as that.

I rather enjoy the fact that I also take much of my time to help inform others on many different topics, and with as much detail as I can provide (with a kind and generous attitude).
just another one of my "immature posts with nothing to contribute"...
...and another
...and another.

In any case, without further questioning each other's "maturity level" or "knowledge level" and leaving insults behind - I again reiterate that all I have been suggesting this whole time, is that these types of dealings can be avoided by simply treating each other with a bit more respect and courtesy.

Minn this is from a lame email I got but I want to let you and the other people here who generally care about others and thier questions and needs read it.
The following is the philosophy of Charles Schultz, the creator of the
"Peanuts" comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just read the e-mail
straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America contest.
4. Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winner for best actor and
actress.

6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are
no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the
applause dies. Awards tarnish. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and
certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.
6. Name half a dozen heroes whose stories have inspired you.

Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the
most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are the ones
that care.

Jeez! I hope that this stays out of the trash-can, but if not, I can rest soundly knowing that I was finally a part of a thread that wound up in the trash-can! WOOHOO!!! If this were like the Playstation game, Gran Turismo 3, I would now see my "game completion percentage" rise at least three points!

Sad to see that it came to this, but O'well, such is life...

*Couldn't help myself. I had to get in on this! And who could resist quoting such memorable words as lou repeated here... MinnGreenGT... words to live by.

As a side note - You're going to have to do a long search to find someone with something bad to say about MinnGreenGT. He is one of the more helpful and friendly people on this forum. His words were obviously taken wrong to make this thread and the other one go so far astray.
