How can the Fiero be your son's, Fiero5, if he can't even drive it yet? It sounds like the car is your own little project, but because you lack some creativity and you feel like you do not bond with your son enough, you get him to supply you with ideas on how to rice a perfectly good fiero. Right now he is not mature enough to see what is good taste and what isn't, and he is heavily effected by the current fads (such as the Fast & the Furious movies). I do not really mind the green paint, I think it looks kind of cool, but the weird-looking wing and the unnecessary giant rims disrespect this car. I do not think any fieros are ugly, but I absolutely hate it when people disrespect this car. Disrespect counts as neglect (letting the car rot in a driveway, not caring for it, etc) and modifying the car in a way that the car wasn't meant for. I think ricing a car shows how arrogant the owner is (they think their car is automatically the best, even though people they bash could hand their ass back to them easily) and it should stay associated with pos's like Honda Accords, Civics, etc (there's tons in my neighborhood with like 2 foot wings on the back, and I can't help but laugh every time I see one). I also hate when people turn these cars into "trikes" too. You should have waited on building a car with your son until at least 15, when while making the car he could train driving the car and learn to respect performance and that stickers and gaudy external enhancements do not increase the performance of the car, unlike what movies like The Fast and the Furious seem to suggest. (BTW if you and your son were to drive by me while on the road I'd laugh just like I laugh at the riced-out Civics that I pass every day). This post may seem mean but this is the real world and if you make something its bound to get criticism, you should have known that before starting on the car. If your son can't take the real world yet then don't let him read this forum, and keep sheltering him from people like me who don't necessarily like the ideas he had for his car. If you wanna flame me back I have an '88 GT with 35k miles on it with original paint and no enchancements whatsoever (the car is completely original except for maybe tires, so if you wanna bash it, you'd be bashing the entire fiero community.) Another thing I don't really care about any negative reviews you may give me, I speak my opinion and/or the facts, its my personality.

Extra: I'm 18 and I had to buy my Fiero with my own money, $9000 dollars worth of it. It makes me sick when I see some kid who can't even drive and doesn't work (and probably doesn't have a concept on the value of money yet) get what he wants at the drop of a hat. Many people on these forums probably feel the same way, but just don't want to express it.

It's just a car. To each his own

Oh my God! What a totally arrogant little tool! What makes your little punk 18 year old ass think that you or your car represents "the entire Fiero community"? Been to a Fiero show lately? Every one I've attended has provisions for other vehicles besides stock 88 GT's. Are you going to laugh when you pass by my car (if you could) because I don't have a stock engine? Different strokes for different folks, and I hope that if you learn to shut you mouth enough to survive being a know it all little punk that you might grow old enough to learn a little tolerance.

There. I feel better now. Hopefully you'll make some useful posts. Welcome to the forum.

I can't picture owning a fiero without wanting to enchance it. Even with 35k miles that engine would be coming out.....

It represents the entire community because that is the car as it comes out of the factory (how it starts out, before modding). Everyone here has a fiero, but their car wasn't always the way it is, and they bought it because they liked out it was, but they wanted to enhance it. What I meant by him bashing it and bashing the entire community was, everyone's car was like this at one point (doesn't matter if it was 84, 85, 86, 87, or 88) so he'd be, in a way, bashing everyone's car. I wouldn't laugh passing your car stimpy, because the outside probably isn't riced-out like Fiero5's (although I have never seen your car). I was considering pulling out the engine on my fiero but I stopped because I wanted to keep it all original, so I'm buying a '87 SE with 5-speed manual for $1000 so I can take out the engine and stick a V8 in it. In fact I'd probably like your car if I saw it, but I would laugh if I saw Steven or whatever his name is cruisin down the road with his son in a radioactive booger fiero that say's "Jordan's Fiero" on the back. I wouldn't give a **** who's fiero that was. He makes his son and his car seem all important. Its just like people who have those idiotic stickers on their cars that say "Baby on Board!".

I had to tell ya bubs, but it's just a Fiero.. This isn't going to make the car worth 30K in two years because it's matching numbers.. MIght as well do what you like to it.
