Not all Porsche's were fast. the base 914's had a 1.6L (I think thats the size) engine and it wasn't that fast. (The 2.0L ones were faster) The 924's of the mid 80's were also slow. Even the non-turbo 944's were not fast. (I know many that lost to stock V-6 Fiero's) |

This was also found out by one of the local body shop guys who found out my 84 Sunbird Turbo will beat his 87 944 stock.

It's a base 944 (the ones with the fastback big rear bubble type window) that is set up for some kind of racing, but is street driven as well as he has driven it to work a few times. I have only seen it a few times and did not get a chance to look at it much. If we can get our cars to a track, it should prove to be interesting Steve |

He will kill you. Ask Slammed, or anyone else who races Porsches. The 944 na is almost as fast as the 2.8 and beats its ass on the track

If it's an 8 valve 944 you may take him in a straight line Around a corner ..nope.. stock for stock the 944 handles better. rear mounted transaxle.. better brakes.. Just to clairify...were talking about a 944 vs a v6 Fiero right?? not a 4cyl I hope. That pic of the 944 looks so photochopped that even Ray charles would notice. JM part time driver of a 94 911 RS America #0001 so many mods that I could start a thread about it .. ------------------ Jonathan McCreery 86 GT Northstar 86 SE SOLD 85 SE 4cyl , 18,000 miles , $2500 OBO CDN SAVE THE SHAUN!!!
