yes, it is many layers of expectations, aint it?
maybe we should find a way to portray irresponsibility in a negative light? because as far as I can tell from what I see on TV & in the Movies - responsible people are a$$holes. and the likeable people are frivolous, no job & clever. maybe someone needs to explain that this really aint how it is. for some reason, it seems children & middle schoolers think that is how it is. and, then have a hard time in high school, and it just gets worse from there.
just observation from watching my own daughter grow up & her friends. she voted Obama......coming up on 20, and has only worked 4 months since high school....

She SHOULD be expecting it. It is part of his proposed plan.
On the other hand, didn't she also get a $600 "stimulus check" from Bush this past year?
Yeah, let's have a plan where people get a check back for some of their taxes, even if they HAVEN'T PAID ANY TAX.

N.B. -- This idea was originally proposed by those raving liberals, Barry Goldwater and Milton Friedman. They called it the "Negative Income Tax."[This message has been edited by Marvin McInnis (edited 11-07-2008).]

I didn't CARE WHAT THAT PERSON SAID after this line.
WTF? If you're a "parent," that should qualify not only as a "job," but BETTER YET, the REST of society should "COMPENSATE YOU" for CHOSING TO BE A PARENT? Holy hell.[This message has been edited by FieroFanatic13 (edited 11-07-2008).]

The best solution might be to open up the soylent green option to those of the 18-30 year old range- and then test them and assign them for "soylent rehabilitation" based upon their "ignorance scores." We can call it the ULTIMATE socialist gift?

Thats 75% of the problem. The other 25% is "education." The looks on peoples faces are priceless when I tell them there was a black regiment.... fighting for the south..... during the civil war.... as free men.
Schools only teach what is permitted, anything other than what is permitted will be brought up to the board. Classic democracy in action.

Yes ti toally does by each parent. TV is monkey see monkey do and it happens everyday. You basically have to try and undo what the media does to kids on a dialy basis.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is people like her who dump the dad for alimoney/child support too.
