It took you long time to start making them. Good Job Shawn

So how do the engine mounts work? Are they brackets to attack to the stock Fiero mount, or a complete replacement of the Fiero mount? Is the 88 mount any different from earlier years? Is it a bolt-in deal, or do you have to drill new mounting locations on the cradle? Thanks! They look great! (And VERY strong!) ------------------

It's a bolt in deal, and a complete replacement for the Fiero mount using the stock holes. The only time you use a stock bracket is on the manual transmissions.

I BOUGHT A SET OF WEST COAST MOUNTS, AND AFTER A LOT OF SWEAT MAKING THEM FIT...............THEY FAILED MISERABLY. THE FRONT MOUNT TO THE LOWER URETHANE MOUNT FOLDED OVER LIKE A PAPER CLIP AS SOON AS THE MOTOR WAS MOUNTED ?????!!!!!!!!!!! THE RIGHT SIDE REAR TRANS MOUNT, BENT AT THE ATTACHING FLANG TO THE ADJACENT URETHANE MOUNT TO THE FRAME ??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 2 of 3 mount failures, I pulled them & redesigned them using thicker material, changing press brake points to weld points etc. etc. making them much stronger & more rigid. |

Would you possibly have pictures of these miserably failed WCF motor mounts? If not could you take pictures of them and post them? ------------------ Red 88 GT T-Top 3800 INTERCOOLED SUPERCHARGED White 88 GT Stock Please give me a rating if you appreciate my contribution. History of Skitimes Car

Sure but I already fixed them by straightening them & adding a 3/8 plate so I can use them. They dont look that great, but they work

I thought for sure you would of documented those failures. I ran the WCF mounts for two years. There was never any fitment problems. They look as good as new when I removed them last year. Hard ot believe yours would of folded as soon as the engine was mounted. I would of loved to see a picture of that. I had to remove my WCF mounts to lower my engine for the intercooler. I am now running stock rubber motor mounts with even more horsepower with the intercooler. They are holding up perfectly for the past year. Knock on wood.

Yeh.................."Kev" was here when it happened, he's not real happy with his mount set either. The trans mount bent after time, but none the less it's not holding up. I just like the feel of a solid mounted heavy breathing motor

Don't forget about me...... I saw it happen, the front bracket bent like it was made out of hot plastic. It went from being straight to a 90 degree elbow like nothing. Crazy. MOBILE
