Heres my story. Last summer his car broke down in columbus. I stored it at my place for a month, free of charge. Gave him use of my shop for 5-6 hours to fix it. Before it got to my place someone slashed all four tires. Lisa lent him her 4 wheels with mounted tires so he could get it back home. That was in July, so far no wheels returned, no money - even though he said he forgot a month or two ago and would send money right away. ya rite !!!! and cows fly. Id stay away from anything to do with him if I were you. I even wonder if its coincidental that my trailer disappeared 2-3 weeks later. I am relieved to know that I wasn't the only one that had problems with this guy. That's horrible what he did with your wheels roger. I don't think he'll be giving them back for a while. Maybe he's just a busy guy!

Wow, Terry seems to know when to disappear very quick when the "HEAT" is on. My take anyhow [This message has been edited by 86seyellow (edited 12-06-2002).]

Here's my experience with good 'ol TG. The hunt had begun for my first Fiero. I had finally convinced my parents that the Fiero was the car I was gonna buy, and they were going along with it. We saw Terry's car (the one that GTDude - you kick ass BTW - now owns) and decided to go look at it. Mind you, this is a 6+ hour drive EACH way for me. We saw pictures of the car (one of which happens to be GTDude's sig), heard the description - it sounded great. We show up a little early at the meeting point and wait. He was quite late. We sat in the heat of mid-June for an hour. In a parking lot. Cooking. He finally shows up. The beautiful car in the pictures is nowhere to be found. There was NO clearcoat on the front fascia of the car. There was NO evidencne of preparation for sale. The ashtrays are full. There are leaves sticking into every crevice in the car. It hasnt been washed or vacuumed. The guy seems nice, the two relatives that I chilled with while my dad drove the car were very nice. My dad took the car out for a test-drive. After a CONSIDERABLE amount of time he returns. He slowly coasts into the parking lot, and all of a sudden the car jerks to a stop and stalls. As it turns out, while they were getting off the freeway to turn around during the test drive, the car lost all pedal feel in the clutch and it wouldn't shift gears. Terry tried to bleed the clutch for awhile, but to no avail. We went home, and said that we would stay in touch if we were still interested. No, thanks. Terry said in an e-mail to get back to him if we were still interested. We weren't, so my dad didn't get back to him. While I was introducing myself here on the PFF, he has the audacity to say something along the lines of "Thanks for returning my e-mail." Even though it wasn't me that hadn't returned it, it was my dad. And he said to respond if we were interested. We weren't. I will stay away from him in the future. I am glad that I bought the car from who I did. I hope my rambling was at least partially coherent! My $.02. ------------------

HARTZ thanks for the compliment and thanks for confirming all I said above about the clutch and clearcoat etc. Terry PM'd me basically saying my memory was incorrect. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YEAH RIGHT! Thanks Phil ------------------ GTDude OVER 25 years GM experience
