The web guy doesn't have much to do with a less than stellar hosting service. IP address--perhaps. Rodney not on the list--no excuse.

Sorry you don't know the difference between a webmaster and someone who admins a web server.

I'm Archie's webmaster. No, I don't do it for a living. I'm a very busy person who not only works over 60 hours a week, but I also have a family to take care of.

I met Archie online about 7 years ago and offered to help him get a site up. Because of this, it gave him and his kits a presence on the web. Not to mention, it brought him a lot of business. In return, I don't ask for much. Archie is a good friend and a nice guy.

Now about the host. They only keep access logs for the last 2 hours. I'm not going to say too many details, but their webserver is running an older version of SunOS without any patches. Anyways, my name is not on the account, so I cannot work with their support team. I've told Archie what he needs to tell them so they can fix this. But hey, he's a busy guy.

Guys, I know the un*x may seem complicated but admining it isnt exactly rocket science. Its like dos with multiple user accounts. I know I have the ability to administer and write HTML and am no genius.

btw, theyre runing solaris, not sun os. I have contacts over at communitech because Ive been using them for years for colo, but since both of you are @sses, no name for you.

ONly keeps logs for two hours. Thats funny, logs dont matter too much when your servers been comprimised. If someone has the ability to change webpages then they also have the ability to change the logs. Think about it.

Thats funny arch, because I used to think you were a jerk because you hacked up wiring without a care, took months to ship an engine, shipped it with brackets and mounts that were cracked in half and then couldnt even appologize, but after watching your install video I now know youre just plain stupid.

At this point I might look into Howard as being a possible suspect. I an't think of anyone else who would have it out for you off-hand.

And I can only recall two times this has ever happened, so it can't be that bad.

Unlikely? Yes. Impossible. No. But from what I've seen, he probably can't write a "Hello World" program in Visual Basic. 'oh I could help but I'm not going to.'
