That seems fair and over the top to me! Just on your word that the water pump is cracked, he OVERNIGHTED you a new one, and offered to pay to have it installed!!! What more do you want dude!
BTW, you may want to ask your "team of master mechanics" why they wanted to charge you $200 for a water pump!

Dude, I feel sorry for you, I saw many offers to help in the previous posts, including from David himself. You have lost any reputation you COULD have had on the forums. I think it is just time for you to sell the car and go get a geo metro and go harass those guys because you THOUGHT it was a 4 cylinder engine when you bought it!

Give it up man. He could sell you a bottle of water for $1700 dollars if he wanted to. Unless you can prove that what he advertised wasn't what he sent you then your out of luck. What makes you think that if you could not convince anyone here he cheated you that you can convince a judge. From reading this thread it seems like to me you didn't know what you were getting yourself into just as everyone else has pretty much said.
P.S. maybe if you threaten the judge like you have to a lot of well respected fiero members you'll win!

Hell.
I just looked at the pics.
That engine looks nicer than the 3.4 Grooms rebuild that I bought.
A muffler shop? Seriously dude.
Hang around a while. Read a bit. Educate yourself. Ask questions. (Dozens of people on this Forum have done that swap.)
Then do the work yourself. It's not rocket science. And once you learn it, you'll have that knowledge forever.
I installed my 3.4 myself. Drove it for a year.
Then I educated myself some more, removed it, took it down to the short block, and built it up and reinstalled it again, along with swapping in a 5 speed in place of the automatic.
That's knowledge that I'll always use.
If you're going to keep paying non-Fiero people (especially muffler shops) to work on your car, you're going to get boned.
Just because it's a Fiero.
I was a Fiero owner from '85 to '88 and from '97 to the present. I certainly have been there.
It's why my Fieros now don't ever see the inside of a shop.
And lighten up. Jeez.
Edit - Ooops. Too late.
I tried. Against my better judgement but I tried.
