Thats pure assumption. Since there is nothing in your post that is on topic I dont have anything to contribute other than my concerns for your health. Perhaps you should see a Dr. about that bladder control problem, from what I gather you get free medical so why not have yourself checked out?

Why else would the female get so upset unless it was a hustle?

There is no reason, especially the racist reaction <snip>i get 10 feet away and the female says, "see that's why black people rob a *expletive deleted*" (rimes with nother trucker) <snip>
Can you imagine a legitimate charity of some kind acting this way?, foodbank, Jerry's kids, spinalbifida (spelling?), girl scouts (heheheh) I can just see that one, you name it.
What is even harder to believe is somebody making excuses for her behavior and then getting pissed of at the rest of us and calling us rude like we deserve it and have some obligation to "look them in the eye" and or pay them off to prevent bad things from happening.
I applaud you for not escalating.

I tend to agree with that though I myself will maintain that there are better ways of avoiding confrontation.
It's pretty obvious by some of the ad-homenim attacks I have dealt with in this thread alone that sometimes no matter how hard you try to maintain a civil tone, there are some dirty filthy scumbags out there who feel they are entitled to do and say all the ignorant bullshit what they want with total disregard to maintaining civility.
IE There are some true Neanderthal like barbarians out there possessing and demonstrating the mental capacity just above that of a primate.

What's funny is that when someone pesters you, you unerringly display these very same qualities. You're very predictable. It's almost Pavlovian. ( <--- my word of the day )

Holy crap. Some people take every single frickin' opportunity to start a fight.
And I'm not talking about any of the people in the original story, I'm talking about some of the participants in this thread. To those people, can't you just for once in your frickin' life let people tell their story without immediately showering us in your "I'm holier than thou" attitude? Geebus frickin' H cripes.

Well... I am working on that.
I do have strong opinions about the topic but does that mean I should not voice them?
I wasnt making an attack on buddy at all. He asked me to explain why I felt the way I did, so I attempted to do just that. Perhaps I wont in the future, perhaps not.
I earned myself some points judging by the number of votes I received in this thread. I don't know if they were positive or negative and to be honest I don't care one way or the other. It's not that I don't care about what happened to buddy because I do or that don't respect others opinions because I do that as well. It is more like others have problems respecting and accepting my opinions and that is something I have no control over.[This message has been edited by 84Bill (edited 01-14-2008).]

it's really cold out tonight. i'm walking in to my local market, a man and woman are standing by the doors holding some sort of flyers. as i walk past them to get to the doors, a man asks, "excuse me sir, do you want to make a donation?" it's too freaking cold to stand around and listen to their speech, so i just say,"No" as i walk past them.
i only need a couple of things and know this store very well, so i'm out in less than 5 minutes.
i exit the store, and the female says, "Yo. You cant make a donation?" i keep waking and just say, "nope" without looking back. i get 10 feet away and the female says, "see that's why black people rob a *expletive deleted*" (rimes with nother trucker)
so i get home and doing some music editing and it's just eating away at me. so just because i dont feel like giving you a handout, it's now ok for you to just take it from me... GRrrrrrrr

Every situation is different/unique; you have to be the judge in giving someone a hand out (monies), but ambushing me at the entrance, you'll get the, “no. I'm sorry I can't spare the change response."
If you've noticed, (some) of the homeless are using direct assault tactics when approaching their intended target. In the past they'd surveyed the parking lot looking for people and then cut you off in the parking lot and later on the tactic was direct; as you were exiting your car.
Now the tactics are up and personal; catch the target as they exit the store or right before they enter. It's higher % if a target having coins right after leaving the store, especially useful during a follow-up question if the target stated, "I have no change." They're thinking, 'ya do now."
Okay, so targets are catching onto their tactics and they are making you feel guilty by using insults or judging a target by the car they drive.
Here in Bay Area we've seen homeless people standing on corners with Ipods and smoking. If you've got an Ipod and you got money for smokes, you're not homeless in my book. As for homeless hanging out near the entrance of a store, I give only to the Girls Scouts and buy whatever they have for trips, schools and such. As I've stated, ambushing people at store entrance is wrong (higher % of givers vs. on a corner) and I experienced a homeless person hanging out as I was approaching the ATM machine asking me for monies. That incident truly pissed me off and I gave the dude a piece of my mind.

now that this is in the trash can I must ask...When did you get to talk like that? When I lived in Pt St Lucie there was only one or two black families living in the whole town. Now Ft. Pierce was another story.....
