No word from Loyde or the lawyer. I told the lawyer I would leave it in his hands, that I was tired of messing with it. There is apparently a bunch of red tape and hoops we have to jump through to file a lawsuit, serve Loyde, place liens, coordinate the sheriff's/police department, etc. Anything over $10k can't be handled in small claims court in our county so I have to sue him in civil court which means me having to fork over a couple of grand to a lawyer on top of what I have already spent. Also there was some kind of ordeal that shut down the county clerk's office for a couple of weeks so that delayed all of this. Nothing will happen on June 10th like I was told, but in the first part of July I will most likely get my car back.

I will definitely keep everyone updated.

Will, you need to let the lawyer know to inform the police that you would like to claim your property when they serve him other wise you may not be able to ever do it.
this is a bad deal, I hate to see this.

I had something similar happen to me a few years back on a previous attempt at a paid 3800 SC engine swap (BTW this was not Loyde). I had paid in advance, the guy had the car for at more than six months, covered his garage windows so that I could not see in, did not do the repairs he claimed in writing to have done, would not give the car back, etc. I managed to get the cops to pay him a visit and he was arrested, eventually convicted of fraud, ordered to pay restitution to get probation, I got 95% plus of my money back, and retrieved the vehicle with minimal damage.

It is possible to sometimes get some satisfaction out of a bad deal but there are no guarantees.

But you do have a good chance of getting back alot of the money you spent.

Might want to send some PFF links to your lawyer. Most of the loyde related stuff on here could make anyone look like a crook, but because of that I doubt it could ever be used as evidence.

He could use any responses Loyde put on here, especially ones that he lied in or tried to say something different than what actually happened (better go print them now), or any PM's he received from Loyde through here. Especially if he changes his story yet again, then it can be used as evidence of perjury. I would say this is definitely a reason for Loyde'd ban on this forum (which he has no respect for in his own words). I don't know what it's going to take, but at this point, someone could easily say he's a predator on this board and shouldn't be allowed access to it. Maybe a conviction could also be accompanied by a court order demanding he not advertise in any way for his services to protect future victims from harm? I would definitely have an attorney ask the judge for that stipulation. THAT'S where this forum could help for sure. Good luck Will. I hope MSTANGS is reading this, maybe he won't be so quick to defend the guy any more.

I am not forsure why you are bringing my name into this Thread or your post. But since you did...I have stated before that I do not agree with what has happened between FF and others BUT....I have also stated and I will again that every deal/transaction that I have done with Loyde has been positive in every way. He has helped me over the years with every thing I have asked him to and has answered every question that I have ever asked.

So...how is your swap going down in Houston with TexasGT? Haven't seen any updates on it in a while.......

It's moving again. They have the motor almost ready to go in. We're looking into the Northstar TB stuff right now, along with the axles. I'm hoping it will be back in my garage by the end of the month *fingers crossed*.

It's only slander if it's spoken and not true. The written version is libel and again only if it's not true. Why don't you go either finish his car or start writing out that refund check for what he paid you and the original value of the car when he dropped it off, and quit worrying about what's being written about you on the internet?

What a tool bag

How about a nice summary for those that where not reading the whole thread

This is where lloyd tried to say it hasn't been five years by posting a picture from *ONLY* 3 years ago of will's original engine. Followed by Will's picture of the check written to lloyd from *ALMOST* 5 years ago.

lloyd, maybe you should take any and all time that you would be on the forum and put and engine into Will's car. Then, when that's done, put new brake lines, shocks, struts, springs, calipers, brake hoses, tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, tires, floor pans, trunk, paint, interior pieces that are surely warped from the texas heat and anything else I did not think of, on the car, so that when he gets it back it will be in the shape that it should have been had you actually finished it in a timely manner.

But then again Will *might* want to have the car *efore* he dies of old age, so maybe you should just refund the money's and give the man his car so he can take it to a reputable dealer.
