sorry but I read through this whole darn thread, and read over the emails posted by both parties involved.
my conclusion is that you are upset that you made assumptions about what you were buying. the descriptions was accurate, perhaps not complete but that is the nature of online sales and auctions. Any time you buy something online there is a bit of "buyer beware" i've been burned before but it was my own fault for not asking more questions.
so the end result is stop whining about your mistake and move on. resell the wheel to someone else who might want it and go find yourself a NOS wheel for 400$

I'd be a bit bummed because the wheel isn't what I thought it was, but I wouldn't be feeling like I was "ripped off".
I'd just install the wheel. It might not be exactly what you wanted. Or exactly what you thought you were getting. But it's also not terrible. It's not like the car it's going in is stock, anyway. Nobody will know the difference. (Errr... Not until this thread, anyway.) Then I'd look around and find one exactly like I wanted, then turn around and sell that one on ebay. You shouldn't have any trouble. After all, it will only have a few thousand miles on it, and will have "led a sheltered existence in trailer queens and show cars".[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 07-24-2007).]

I don't know why he just doesn't put it back on Ebay. He got it for $30 less than what it sells for from the Fiero Store so his chances of getting back his money are pretty good. The title of this thread basically accuses the seller of being an Ebay scammer and SCV6 has convinced himself that the seller was dishonest with him, so now he is trying to slant things in his favor with any excuse he can make up for the sale being dishonest. He also wasn't very tactful by bringing this to the attention of a public forum and badmouthing the seller. That is why I am not surprised that the seller will not issue a refund nor should the buyer expect one after this behavior. I bet if he had keep things private and admitted to making a mistake, the seller might have considered a refund.

This entire post strikes me as funny. You just cant admit that you were wrong and WERENT defrauded. There was NOTHING in the ad with intentions of deceiving. You got EXACTLY what you bid on. A reproduction wheel from the Fiero Store.
The funniest part about this post is that you ask the forum members to decide whether you were defrauded. Its clear that we dont think you were, yet you still continue to fight. You have to learn its okay to be wrong sometimes. Ask questions BEFORE you commit to buying something, NOT after.

IMHO, far too much hassle over something so simple. I don't think it is fair that either one should have to take the blame, why does the whole world have to go to war every day, why can't we all get along. I have had some EXTREMELY bad Ebay dealings, but it is sad to see that even in a community such as this, we still have to fight? I'm not offering a solution, because the solution is obviously not that simple, just my 2 cents as a fairly new, young member. Why fight, we're not here to be enemies, we're here because we all have something good in common, let's take it from there and everybody should do their best to chill and move on. Best of luck sorting things out guys, I hope you can work something out for both of you.
