I don't have the sheet, and I don't know who dyno'd it. I was told by Charlie that the engine, as pulled from the Corvette dyno'd 270 or 275 in stock form, and that later after the cam and 1.6 rockers, injector work , and new chips burned the car dyno'd 330, also supported in Fiero Owner Magazine under article " Wanna Run For Pinks !!??"In all this digging around I did blow up a picture of the engine in one of the Keith's build up articles where it shows the engine with the valve covers off during the conversion into the car, the pictures shows stock rocker arms, which weren't in the car when I bought it, so maybe Keith didn't know the engine had been worked on after he installed it. I could almost swear the Keith supported everything that Charlie has told me, but that was a long time back, and I haven't gotten any younger in the process. I mean Keith no dis-respect at all, he shared a lot of love for this car. This is a little interesting to me, but kind of a mute point, since I pulled everything down, added new parts, and made modifications to it. So with respect to your credibility, You just ride on the back of your Dad's credibility. So that means your Dad built the engine and you handed him a wrench so now you know how to build an engine. (Guess who's "credibility" just got shot down by his own words.) I have many family members with cars that I have helped with as well but you don't see me taking credit for their cars. So now a 200ft burn-out is a measure power? I had a 79 Grand Prix that could do that and it had the stock 301 V-8 with only around 120hp. It sounds more like the 55 needs help with suspension/traction. Oh wait, It's a "a rust bucket, gutted interior 55" so without weight you could spin the tires all day long with minimal horsepower. |
|
The second comment was in reference to our Lumina Z34, not the 55. My dad rarely drives it, it really isn't streetable in its present condition. And I built the motor, like I said I did. The car came with a 350, which was pulled, junked, and replaced with a bored 400 (406), at which point I found the crappy blower and expensive carb/ignition and installed them. As for the Lumina, I don't post pics of it because it really is his car. He drives it to work everyday, drives it on vacation, etc. I simply found it, and put the new motor/tranny in for him. And I have a few pics, just not very many, and none of the outside. I never said the 200ft burnout was a measure of power. Just said that the 55 did that, and it did, I was driving it. I never realized that 3650 lbs qualifies as "without weight." By this definition, Fieros weigh negative 800 lbs. Gravity that huh? Yah, that's right, we weighed the car upon purchasing it, out of curiosity. I shouldn't have said gutted interior, the interior is present, just not something to be proud of. The seats are cheap buckets, the rear is only half present, there is no carpet, and the dash isn't very pretty, but its there.

Unless there's something you know that I don't................. |

Hey, I cut you a little slack because you live in Florida, but there's salt on the roads here in Michigan, and this car doesn't leave the garage between Nov and end of March (sometimes into April depending on weather). Secondly, I'll pay for my own dyno run , if and when I ever decide to do it, the money isn't an issue with me at all. Just because some people here are pressuring me to get a slip, just isn't enough reason. Ya All have fun, thinking what you want to think about my car, I'm done defending it, cause nothing is going to please the one's crying out the loudest, and this is getting pretty old. I meant without weight on the back wheels idiot. You just stated it has half the rear missing now as well. So tell us again how the 200ft burn-out is suppose to improve your "credibility"?? I find it very funny how you think we're suppose to be impressed by it as well. Oooh you can spin the tires. Does that make you feel better? Anyhow, were getting off-topic so please quit trying to establish your "knowledge", It makes you look worse.

Can we put up guesses about Aaron's IQ? I'm gonna say 34. And guesses about when he'll actually have a DOHC 88 GT to match his sig: 2017 And maybe even guess about how old he'll be before he touches his first real tit, excluding family members: 37 And how about guessing when he'll be banned: Jan. 5, 2006. Jan. 17, 2006 Feb 2, 2006 Feb 24, 2006 (and pretty much within 24 hours of his registering a new username from then on) Guessing is fun.

After all this time... You don't even own a Lumina? The very cornerstone of your persona is a complete facade?! I'm... I'm just crushed. [This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 12-16-2005).]
