Fierotrevor, I will tell you why people do stuff like this: it is because they have an ego problem. What this guy did reminds me of someone's car I saw in a magazine who said it did this or that right in the article. Then when this person was confronted with his claims, plus with the facts that other people had similar cars and mods but the numbers didn't jive; this person backed away and said something like this: "i haven't done this, i never told the magazine that, maybe you should call the editor of the magazine and ask them where they got that information because I didn't tell them anything about that". What, does this person think I am stupid? We live in a world of man eating lawyers that look for any reason or niche to make money any way they can. There is NO WAY any competent magazine editor would simply print false or untrue information ON THEIR OWN for fear of a lawsuit. I think some people just have so little self esteem that they feel they need to PROVE something to the rest of the world. I think those people are just sad when they present lies and deceit as FACTUAL PROOF. This kind of behavior represents everything that is wrong with our world in this day and age.

Let's look at the facts here...

The numbers are edited. If that 'mock-up' on the first page is, in fact, mocked-up, then he went through a helluva lot of trouble to edit a lot of dot matrix-style font work to make it look like printing impression bleeds. Not only that, but he did a very poor job about making it look real, because it looks more like a scan that was messed with anyway!

Add to the above the fact that only a FEW numbers from that slip match up pixel-for-pixel, and both those numbers that are in question are on the side where HIS numbers are.

Numbers provided by others are NOT questionable in this case. GT-X's numbers, however, ARE questionable. The facts have been said, and said many times over: they do NOT add up!!

Also, why the heck did he pull ALL his pictures from ALL the posts listed here as links? Who would be so lame as to pull out EVERYTHING ON A FORUM just because someone proved him wrong and is trying to get the truth? All of them dated the SAME DAY (8-30-2003).

And the suspicious ebay_1.jpg?

So lemme get something straight here... He decided to fabricate a fake timeslip, one that would obviously take anyone a considerable amount of time to make, when he had the real one all along? One which he coulda simply scanned and shown us, one which would have placed no questions in our minds if the numbers were real? Then goes and lies about it, trying to cover his behind by saying something like "I really have no reason to fake a timeslip," while at the same time telling you that he faked it???

He's lying through his *** here, Smoooooth, and you're sucking in every one of those lies. Otherwise he shoulda come clean and all this would have just blown over a lot quicker.

This forum is sloping down hill, why cant we all just get along, when I joined back in February it seemed alot of people on here had Fieros, now half the people on here dont even own a Fiero. Everyone Argues, someone posts a question, and gets some smartass replies. I dont see this being a big factor so what he photochopped it, chuckle and laugh at him point it out and have it be the end, there is no point in arguing over piddly , Everyone on here knows who they can trust and who they cant, we all know Kameo, California Kid, and Skitime have the 3 baddest Fieros! WHO CARES? Forums need to be informational not full of BS.. The Forum needs to be more Fiero Based, not who is better than who... Everyone does what they want to their car and everyone should appreciate their likings If you dont like it then dont post, Im thankful for the help from the People on the forum they know who they are, but I dont jump in a Post and bash something that says "New Bumper Mods What do you think" I read it and if I dont like it I dont say anything, while others are like thats gross ugly what the hell are you thinking! Noone likes or wants to be bashed!

Edit: My opinion on Kameo, Cali Kid, and Skitime on having the 3 nicest cars, their are alot of others out there but for the modded ones those are my 3 favorites!

That's why GT-X was challenged! If he did it, we want the information as to how. What kind of clutch, transmission mods.... BS is exactly what we're walking in, it shouldn't be on the forum, nor should it be believed verbatum.

I was amazed and believed his first post because I'm not a drag racer, no experience at all. A big thanks to all who brought the truth out.

BTW, I have six Fieros parked around the house, three with titles, all stock. Man, I love driving my '88 Formula. Love the handling, the little V-6 noises, just driving around a few feet above the ground, its like my little yellow, street legal go kart.

Arizona,I was one of the first to tell him great job on his times.All I did was look at the bottom line.Thanks to the observant people on this forum it has been shown to be a bunch of crap.I am putting together a high horsepower V8 Fiero and thanks to him I may not be believed if my car should be good enough to turn those kinds of times.As far as the number of Fiero owners on this forum;who cares.As long as they have an interest in these cars what does it matter if they own none,one or twenty?As far as this forum going downhill;It has a lot of intelligent people on here that can smell bull**** right away and say something about it.I applaud them!I also thank them for being more observant than me!

I have never drag raced so I couldn't tell a fake one for a real one, but I think it is getting a little harsh. IMO if he did fake it he should say " I let my ego get ahead of my thinking sorry" and if it is real do it again and make everyone else eat crow. After all we forgave worse around here, and we all make dumb *** moves now and then. He did do allot of nice work to the car with a neat install from the pictures... You can't take that away.
