Mount Spurr Eruption Imminent: Alaska Volcano Alert | An underwater volcano, the Axial Seamount, about 300 miles off the Oregon coast, is showing signs of an imminent eruption and is predicted to erupt by late 2025.
Scientists have recorded increased seismic activity and a significant rise of the seafloor, indicating magma is accumulating beneath the surface.
While the eruption is unlikely to cause a tsunami or widespread damage due to its deep-sea location, it could impact marine ecosystems and undersea communication cables.
So, the Seamount volcano pops, ~ VEI-9, triggering the M9 Cascadia earthquake, triggering Mount Rainier's eruption, burying Tacoma under 50' of lahar.
