I picked up 3 exact same patches at a garage sale this morning and I’m not certain as to why they simply say “BEST” on them. I showed them to my friend and he said only that they look like Buick Tri-Shield patches. I thought maybe there was a Buick dealership named Best. So, I googled it but I couldn’t find anything. Lastly, why don’t they just say “Buick” on them instead? Your opinion? Kit

I think those were awarded by a Buick dealership to a mechanic for completing certain training. I have (or at least had) 2 or 3 in my workbench somewhere but I can't find them right now. Mine were a little larger and rectangular shaped and said 'Best in Class' on them. I also have a set of stubby metric combination wrenched that have the Buick logo etched onto them from certain other accomplishments. I worked at a local Buick dealer back in the late 90's.

Thanks for the input Gary. Ok then, maybe they are kind of like Mr. Goodwrench patches but of the Buick brand? Kit

iirc these are the guys that got called in when the Dealership tech couldn't fix it. AKA a lemon.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the Best letter explanation. ☺️ It certainly does look like it’s the Mr. Goodwrench equivalent. Kit
