Catalytic Converter (Page 1/1) cliffw JUL 14, 10:32 AM I need a new catalytic converter. I know they have been a big theft item due to the precious metals inside them. A lot of salvage yards won't even touch them but a few will with vehicle title and the owners Driver's License. No salvage joint will tell you the prices. I have heard that reason being the person doing the salvaging can not price shop. They say the have to call a guy to get the prices. Who is that guy they call ? Also, my forward catalytic converter was easy to "gut". The rearward one hard to impossible. Any thoughts ? Thanks cliffw JUL 14, 01:20 PM I found that guy.
