I was actually looking for a video of earthquakes over a decade- maybe less- to see if there was a discernable pattern....Instead I came across this video which actually quite interesting;

About 50 years of that graphic is at best, moderate speculation. The world didn't have the sea bed sensors available, much less in place back 100 years ago.
Krakatoa, East of Java the movie..late '60s..remember? The name btw, is a misnomer. Krakatoa is actually West of Java.

 . Disaster, Calamities, Storms, Tempests The Orphan Tsunami of 1700 Chris Goldfinger - Cascadia Rupture Series '12 Bill Wyman - Earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest '12 M9 - Nick Zentner - Great Earthquakes of the Pacific Northwest Brian Atwater - The Giant M9 Cascadia Earthquake of Jan. 26, 1700. '15 Cascadia Subduction Zone M9 Earthquake, wrecking all manmade infrastructure from Vancouver to San Diego, every city on fire, like LA, today. Should the San Andreas too, full rip, LA may subside into the Pacific like, ten yards, a big wave would come in. Wreck all your sheet.
 Yep ! ' Doomed ! '

Well, that was disappointing, didn't even spill my coffee ! ~ 5 - 9 = 10x10x10x10 so, like giant, this 5 was a precursor, the M9 will collapse all the manmade structures on the West Coast, south to San Francisco, the Golden Gate bridge falling, all the bridges on the PCH, the Bixby too. The M9 will be felt here as a mild tremor, all across the Continent. Doomed, I tell yah !
 I think a calamity of that scale will wreck Vancouver, Seattle, Portland into rubble, the Olympic Peninsula moving northwest a few yards, creating massive tsunamis. Better be prepared, survival beyond a few weeks may be arduous without a stash of supplies, prepare, like, for a Nuke War, like. No water, no food, no electricity, no fuel, no nothing, for like six months, a year, like in LA, no water, because incompetence. Canned foods, bottled water, all the meat you can buy, fish, tons of food and water. Canned vegetables too, fruits, nuts. What will you be eating six months after a disaster ? Gotta have a plan, man.

Waiting for the end ! Yeah ! Total destruction of all the cities south to San Diego, the San Andreas triggered by the Cascadia M9, San Francisco fallen to bricks, slipping 90 ft North West, the Golden Gate bridge in ruins. Disaster Forn, LA on fire, again, still no water, a landscape, an ashen moonscape, smoldering, nothing lives in LA. ' Here it comes ! Get Ready ! ' $50K, $500K in emergency supplies, stashed in a secure location, safe from vandals, robbers, the starving zombies, a store of sundry food staples, a year's food for a family, a few tractor trailers filled with life, buried to protect it all from hazards. Frozen goods in reefers, tons of food. ' If you don't prepare you will croak of starvation. ' ~ Noah
Thinking.. ' I think I'll do some shopping at Costco, buy some beans, wieners, canned corn, potato chips, chocolate bars, fruit and nut bars, sugar, flour, bread, pita, frozen Pizza, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Fish, all the goodies I'll want to eat in a year or so, after the holocaust, like, waiting for an Asteroid to hit, like. ' ' Water, a lot of water, bottled water, tanks of water, a stainless steel tanker for a water stash, protected from contamination. ' ' Fuel, lots of fuel, several year's supply of fuel. ' See, it's a huge undertaking, Noah did it because he was informed of coming doom. Now, you are too.
Yeah, it's deep.

It occurred just as I was typing out This post.
At first there was a relatively low rumble. I thought it might've been a rather large raccoon jumping onto the roof from an adjacent tree. And then one to two seconds later... Bang! It was one sudden jolt, rather loud, that shook the whole house. It felt like a truck had hit the foundation, except there was no further "breakage" sounds afterwards.
It's not the first earthquake I've experienced, and living on the west coast, I doubt it'll be the last.

 ' What has been ', well, 10K years of M9 Quakes has migrated Vancouver Island some portion of the 60km from the mainland, a few meters at a time. Big waves washing up the Fraser Delta, inundating way upriver, Chilliwack overwashed by 20ft of Tsunami, Vancouver falls down on liquified soil, towers literally falling sideways, a disaster of Biblical proportions, Seattle too, Portland, San Francisco, LA subsides, San Diego collapses. Disaster Forn ! ' Lo ! Thou art Doomed ! ' Like out of a science fiction comic book, a gigantic wave from the Olympic Peninsula's movement, slamming into White Rock, totally destroyed, the horror. If the Big One has been triggered by this recent 5, preparing for calamity is a wise action, getting ready for Mother Nature's shake. Seven minutes of severe lateral tremors, vertical displacement, like nothing experienced for 325 years, anywhere on Earth. ' Big Badda Boom ! ' Escape Pods, get one soon !
 ' Yeah ! I think I want to survive to see the fury of Nature, like a Tornado, or, like, an M9.9 Megaquake ! Be floating on top of all the destruction ! '
Yep !
 ' A report by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology, published in Science on 2 December 2011, concluded that the seabed in the area between the epicenter and the Japan Trench moved 50 meters (160 ft) east-southeast and rose about 7 meters (23 ft) as a result of the quake. I want to tell you all something about earthquakes- I may have said this somewhere here before but it is good info that needs repeating;
Back when I worked at the Coast Guard air station (Haz Mat, Fuel and Parts) I taught a simplistic course about preparing for an earthquake...I noticed that some of the guys would immediately start ignoring me- on their cellphones, etc.
I asked one of them later why, and he stated "I am transferring out of California so I don't need to worry about earthquakes anymore"
The next time I did the course, I led off with "Before 1906 (SF earthquake), what was considered the "Big One"...? The 1886 CHARLESTON SOUTH CAROLINA earthquake...almost exactly the same series of events" (Quake, then fire- whole town razed)
Some of the guys would sit up and start paying attention...But, lets hit them with another one; "Where were the three BIGGEST earthquakes in the Continental United States? New Madrid, Missouri! They actually had a swarm of over 400 earthquakes 1811-12, with the three biggest being 8s!"
They all listened to me then- over a few years I had several of them come in my shop/office and exclaim "Wow, dude- I had no idea...You were right- I looked it up on the internet!!"
Critical safety suggestions; Bolt things to the wall so they cannot tip over (Cabinets, TVs, etc) Also, eliminate GLASS from picture frames, etc- replace with Plexiglass (Consider, where do you spend the most time in your home? In bed for (Basically) 8 hours every night- >>Barefoot<<, so eliminate the chance of broken glass on the floor and>>>Have a pair of slippers/shoes under the bed). Also, have some emergency supplies, including food, water and first-aid...
Last but not least; EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, should be prepared for disaster...could be an earthquake, could be a wild storm/tornado, could be a flood or fire- be Prepared!
