I saw a neat Satellite earlier this month. (Page 1/1)

Saw this while walking on Long Island. February 14th 2024 around 7:25 pm. One began shooting out a cool lookin' spiral of white smoke for several seconds (thruster?) and appeared to spin around. I started filming it as it travelled east. You can see some of the thruster stuff in this video. There was a second satellite next to it, travelling along a parallel path, but you can't see it well here.

At one point it looked like the other one came closer to the first one, and the first one shot out a buncha thrust. I didn't see the other one shoot anything out.

I can't make out much in the video... but from what you've described, I'd say our alien overlords are sending scout craft.

Yeah, I'm sorry about the crappy quality of that footage. The phone was not happy focusing and I was freezing. the little spiral of smoke was pretty cool looking - it was like a smaller version of this:

Only it only had one "arm".

The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy...read the first two books while I was in the Navy- then a few years later I read "Life, the Universe and Everything"

The British TV series is much better than the movie......the production values are not high, but the actors who play Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent are...'prefect"...

I still remember the bit about the plague that was spread through the use of unsanitized pay phones. Ridiculous and funny at the time... but maybe not so funny after experiencing the COVID pandemic.
