I'm looking for "Light Grey Engine Enamel" and for the life of me, I cannot find anything. The color I want is made by VHT, and I don't know if it's been discontinued or what... but there's only a few cans of it, and people are charging over $1,000 for a single can...

SP137 VHT: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325444846588

This is beyond me... no one seems to make an actual light gray engine enamel?

When I look it up, there's a few places advertising Light Grey *PRIMER* by VHT as the SP137 (but it actually isn't).

Sigh...

That stinks... if there are no other options, perhaps use aluminum?

Yeah... it's a bit too shiny, and she's already going to be using that for the transmission when she gets it back from the transmission shop.

I ended up going with Ford Gray, which is a little bit darker, but also lighter than normal gray... so it'll have to do.

Apparently they stopped making it....But Duplicolor has a Ford Gray; https://www.oreillyauto.com...aint+ford+gray&pos=1

Have you consulted James' "Fifty Shades of Grey"?

Navy gray should fit the bill, (I think it's Haze Gray) or if you can still find the paint Gray Marine painted all their diesel engines with. (NOT Detroit Diesel's color...it's actually some shade of green)

As far as I can determine, it's one vendor on eBay who's trying to gouge anyone who'd be stupid enough to pay what he's asking.

Don't know if this is actually in stock, but Here is a place advertising six cans for $74.80... and they're located in your neck of the woods. 8420 NW 56th St. Miami FL
