MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow reports on suspicious activities by the Russian Navy in waters off Ireland that have added to concerns about Russia's planned naval war games in Irish territorial waters, and the intention of Irish fishermen to "disrupt" those war games and protect their fishing territory.
Sabotaging the undersea cables that carry the Internet between North America, Ireland and Europe would be kind of a "big deal"--and there's concern that the Russian Navy wants to convey this threat to the U.S. and NATO, as Russia maintains the menacing posture of invasion-sized troop deployments along Ukraine's borders.

quote | According to Murphy [who else?], there are half a billion tonnes of blue whiting [commercial fish] in the area where the Russian military drills would take place. He also fears seismic shocks that could be created by missiles fired during the drills as they could change the migration pattern of tuna for years.
“We want to act. We’re not going to face down [Russian Navy] boats, we’re not going to take them on that way, but we are definitely making a point here and we want our government to do something for us,” Murphy announced. |

It wasn't so menacing way back in 1966.

Historically, the Irish were good at 2 things. Fighting and starving. Things have improved significantly since then.

Let's tune in to Hollywood, to get a handle on what the world will look like next year, after the collapse. Will the Russians sink a nuke sub ?, Will they cut the cables ?, Will they turn off the gas pipelines ? Will Biden_Joe do nothing when Taiwan is overrun ? Doomed to be, again.
Dr. Ryan extrapolates an idea ![This message has been edited by Valkrie9 (edited 01-29-2022).]

Let's don't. Hollywood gets it wrong (and greatly so) much more often than they get it even close to correct. So does 90+% of the youtube bubbas that so many people are addicted to.

if they do, it will probably be one of their own.
quote | Will they cut the cables ? |
|
Which cables?
quote | Will they turn off the gas pipelines ? |
|
Maybe, but not to Germany and not for long.
quote | Will Biden_Joe do nothing when Taiwan is overrun ? |

He will do something but his 'doing' won't reverse China's occupation of Taiwan (assuming China does indeed invade Taiwan)
