Did you know the Salvation Army wants you to apologize for being a racist? Apparently, this Christian organization, who historically have helped all people regardless of any reason, has now decided you need to repent for being a racist. It straight out of the woke playbook.

Enough that they gave a half assed apology. Someone in the organization let that happen and I have a hard time believing it isn't just masked after they panicked and pulled the material. There would have to be a good amount of transparency or a few years before I'll donate again. If people in the organization really believe it, it's going to surface again. There is a real need to see just how much of these donations go to salaries of those running the charity. I know the Red Cross pays an exorbitant salaries to their management.

I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity Re-Store about 5 years ago for a while. Management makes decent $, all the rest in the store and warehouse are volunteers being strung along with "volunteer enough hours and you might get hired the next time we have an opening"
Next time there is an opening never comes around, because nobody sticks around that long.

I use to donate to different organizations. Then I started doing my research and stopped.
All of them have too much corruption.

**** guys, we have a "homeless shelter" run by United Way 1/2 hour away. It's an old Comfort Inn they bought....So double-bunked motel rooms without the breakfast or room service or mini-bar fridge or complimentary coffee.
Homeless with no job ????, you better be able to come up with 800 bucks a month for a shared room to stay there. Family ? make that 1200 and you aint staying with your girl in a room, man and women are separate. Kids can go to CPS.
HUH ??????
THATS a "charity" helping the down ???? Jebus-hebus-fruck-me................
I think if I want to donate, I'll show up there, give some cash or food or a 6-pack (and tell him sorry you are putting up with this crap, man) to one of the resident and screw the United Way.

If I didn't have a 4 year old, I'd 100% print those and stuff some buckets. He was having a blast draining my small bills a few weeks ago, but no more.
