We can learn a lot when we shake off pretension and preconception and just listen.

I long to be a tone deaf jazz guitar player. I'm half way there with just a few more chords.
Just have to find that pack of pall mall to keep the ends of my strings safe.
So strike up the horns and turn down the bass.
Ring out the 7th on a round wound strung wooden box filled with pain.
Like every mistake you have ever made played back to you right before you go to sleep
Bobbitty boop, don't taser me brow I just want to go back to the show.

Kinda funny, I knew some of the songs... Daniel Johnston’s True Love Will Find You in the End is unironically very good.

Reminds me a bit of The Incredible String Band, or even Bob Dylan sometimes. Wouldn’t call either outsider music, but certainly experimental.

I have an artist for you that you might like, try Soley.

This is very much my type of music. I’ve never heard of the term outsider music, but I’d call “my genre” some form of psychedelic rock. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, my favorite artist, also has some fantastic music that you just can’t get everywhere. My favorite song of theirs is called “Desert Song.”

She reminds me a little of Linda Perhacs. This is a song from 50 years ago that probably very few will remember:
