My Monoprice finally bit the dust and I'm not going to worry about getting it a new MB. I only paid 200 for it, and its earned its way a few dozen times over. I am just going to replace it. The 2 things I REALLY liked on it (well 3) were the magnetic build plate and hot end, and the auto-level. Build volume, everything in the class is about the same.
I know the Enders have a huge cult following and aftermarket support, but from all the posts I see, they seem to be very problematic, finacky and a real hit-and-miss type deal. (Ender 3 or CR20 ?)
Anycubic Megas dont seem to get much attention. I cant figure out if people have given up on them and tossed them in a closet, or they are so good they just keep on trucking with very few real issues.
Both brands are in plentiful supply here and both are in the same price range. Anybody got any input on which is better ?

What type of stuff do you print? Any reason not to stick with what you have? (Get another Monoprice) or just get a replacement Main Board? They are usually cheap, around 30-50 bucks. and not that hard to swap out (standard connectors).
Enders have had wiring issues. Mainly just need to dial them in and watch some videos regarding fixes for common wiring issues.
Anycubic's alright...Creality is good too. What about printing with Goo? You could get a replacement board and then a Photon GOO printer and dip your toe in resin printing...

SSSHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!
IT"S not fixable !!!!!
(at least for now, until I get another one in here. Then in the summer parts will miraculously become available )
I am getting enough work for it doing airsoft accessories and consumer stuff (dick valve covers and death whistles and dice towers) that I really cant tie it up for 2 weeks at a time to do a full stock project anymore so want a second one just for me, but I gotta play things right to get away with it right now.

Get one that can do something "new" - Larger bed, different type (such as a "delta" type)
...or get a second one of the same model, you "KNOW" it, you know how to dial it all in, and then when you repair the other one, you can print twice as much stuff... Slice once, print twice!

I'd get myself arrested with that.
Can you imagine a 10-foot long dick statue giving the finger political statement !!!!

The latest. Destiny players will recognize it. About 3/4 done and completely circumvents Trudeau's "replica" ban for competition air gun shooting.

And the wiener is.....
Anycubic Mega S. Slight volume upgrade, take a regular not micro SD card which is a HUGE upgrade for my fat fingers and dual steppers on both axis. Monoprice was just idlers on the right side.
For $250.
I am a happy camper maker tonight !

I think my next printer would be something in the style of the Creality 3DPrintMill. Currently I do not print enough to justify upgrading from my current printer. I doubt i would get another bed flinging rig.

They make money for basically nothing. Set and forget mostly.
I'd LOVE an infinate Z, but dont have room to use it properly for long stuff and dont do enough repetitive to justify the cost for mass-multiple runs.
