Anyone that has ever owned a Porsche "Kartoffelwagen", (other than a 914/6), can testify that a GM small block swap is a fantastic idea.

Speaking of putting in something new.

I took this picture at Barrett-Jackson, many years ago. It is not the stupidest thing I have ever seen done to a car, but it is pretty damned close.

I watched this street legal Wasserboxer with a full interior walk all over the small block powered, stripped down bus back in the '90s.

Back in the '60s and early '70s, it was not unusual to see an SCCA B prod 911 lift the inside front wheel, in a tight turn.

I've seen a Pantera lift the front wheels. It was rolling backward on a steep incline when the owner popped the clutch. That was the coolest car. Side note: The owner's GF was an ex Playboy Playmate. She was smoking hot too.

Looks like what was a 930 Turbo

I encountered a prominent orthopedic surgeon that owned one. He had used the door pouches and kick panel bins as ashtrays and they were full.....both sides.....

That pic reminded me of a Fiero I saw at some car show up north (I think) where they had a Buick 455 CI V8 with a Super Charger on it. The SC stuck up above the cabin roofline.
I thought it was nuts but, a lot of folks took pics of it. This I'm sure of, it was not meant to auto-cross.
Made me think of that Jurasic Park movie line, Just because you can doesn't mean you should or something like that.
