I heard about his auction on local radio, as he was being interviewed. He explained that he is getting old, has too much stuff, has not touched many of his things for years and years, wants to let them go to someone who would "do them justice", and is giving a big percentage of sales proceeds to charity.

As an aside, it seems that although from and proud of Michigan, he is living in Texas and ... not sure ... may be at the auction.

The 50s Les Pauls are incredibly expensive now. His start at 100k and 125k. A youtuber bought a lesser version from the Goodwill auction site that someone donated.
When you're 15 and rebellious, Ted was our hero. As an adult he can be annoying.

I have never really been a big fan of Ted's music, its just not my style. But I do like the way he goes against the grain in the "entertainment industry".
