She's doing it wrong, for one thing the bills need to have zeroes after the one.

Don, give Jane a break. She probably heard that liquid assets were advantageous.

Does she have a couple friends she spends an inordinate amount of time with?

I think she just wants you to have clean cash.

Don't worry Don. That's only $15.00. I don't think the Secret Service will catch her. My wife would not blame it on me. Oh wait. It was my fault.

Need to step it up. When I was an adult and still lived in my parents home(paid rent) I made a deal with my Mom, if you wash my clothes, you keep any money you find. A couple weeks in she asks, are you sure, I just found $500. I told her, "My problem, a deal is a deal." I was working a lot and at that point, stopped drinking, so plenty of money, no plan for it.

I remember as a kid, my mother making the rule that if anyone left money in our pockets in the laundry, it was now hers to keep.

When I was a kid, my mother never had to worry about any money being left in our pockets. Dirt, sure. .22 bullets, yep. 1/2" socket or wrench, of course. Foldin Money? never.
