Nov 2020 to "Retail Ecommerce Ventures" https://www.licenseglobal.c...res-radioshack-brand Owners have little clue what will sell or how but is already trying PR... Adafruit interviews Tai Lopez, new owner of RadioShack! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8wwBIA8wMw Jan 11, 2021
I fell asleep trying to watch the new owner basically repeating have no clue but bought a brand likely will then license to others or act "like amazon" etc selling whatever crap on RS web store including 3rd parties shipping product. My guess won't take long before 3rd parties are selling counterfeit and worse product and/or RS brand is slammed on all types of crap same as Polaroid and Bell+Howell.
Seems didn't even know that RS made little product sold in stores even in 70's and 80's just slap a RS pack/box on whatever and only got worse in late 80's and 90's after failing selling computers.
If you when in the 90's 00's, was anyone else besides desperate staff in them? On very rarely I went none or only 1. If more then 1 was 99% a "family unit" or friend buying Cell Phones or near Christmas, Toys. Sound and TV and most others things dried up to very small "floor space" and often can't find whatever you wanted. I didn't even bother going to local stores on clearance after announcing the Bankrupt.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Saw a lot of promotional posts on social media from them, mostly trying to get $ from nostalgia buys like tee shirts with their logo in it. The site has cell phone chargers and other "non-component-y" stuff. the last few years of their life, they just had that sort of stuff - phones, cellphones, Overpriced 3d printer filament, etc.
"I didn't even bother going to local stores on clearance after announcing the Bankrupt."
THAT was worth while. Everything was 90-99% off, so my son and I bought a few hundred bucks worth of components and kits and stuff like that. little kits were like 18 cents instead of ten bucks.
I liked going there as a kid. After a lengthy bike ride, I'd get some random stuff and it would spark my imagination like I was touching a magical talisman or something.
