5 days ago, Iran boarded & captured a S. Korean tanker and forced it into an Iranian port so I would hazard the guess Willie, that 'they' are already emboldened.

That's because The USA strong armed South Korea into absconding with 7 billion of Iran's money or we were going to make our gifts to SoKo tougher. Iran and So Korea have trade. But the USA wants them to stop even though we pulled out of the Iran deal. Pretty stupid but it's what Netanyoohoo wanted.

Netanyahu is already warning Biden about his statements regarding rejoining the P5+1 Iran Deal. They may just use the current vacuum in DC to make the US attack Iran.

Generally speaking, (pun intended) I don't have much problem with retired military officers in politics, but from the moment he returned from Viet Nam as a Major, Colin Powell has considered himself to be one of the "elite perfumed princes of the puzzle palace", which he later officially became and he was up to his eyebrows in civilian politics long before he took the uniform off.
Accordingly, it is no surprise that General Powell has perfect 20 / 20 hindsight.[This message has been edited by randye (edited 01-10-2021).]
