When they as a nationwide unit, openly and forever dissolve the Silent Blue Line, many more people will fully support them.

It's corruption, for certain. There's also the lying about what someone did on charges because they know there will be a potential plea deal to lower charge severity.

Beat patrol and their supervisors positions are crappy and you see people at their worst, even good people in emotionally charged situations will behave poorly. Patrol police get lied to for a living.

100%.

While there a few bad apples in every barrel, the Thin Blue Line is one that I can support. I know this, I couldn't do their job.
With the dangers they face on a daily basis and the crap they have to put up with, their frustrations can be easily justified.
But, they signed up for it knowing it wasn't an easy job. I just appreciate what they are trying to do.

I bought this from a very nice Kentucky State Police officer out of the back of his unit.

Years ago, I was offered the chance to buy a pen/pencil set from a county deputy for $65 cash which coincidently, was exactly what the speeding ticket fine was going to be for the ticket he had just issued to me.
(I didn't have $65 cash on me...the judge accepted a paper check the next week.)

I seriously appreciate it when I run into a decent person on the force (which is normal) and respect that the job can be very crappy. Motorcycle cops and lesbian ones aren't so agreeable to the public. Nobody would want me to be a traffic cop.

Exactly. I remember a time they didnt shoot at the slightest thing, didnt bother with "charges" over minor stuff, would drive a kid home to the parents to deal with instead of handcuffing 6-year-olds, and didnt punch people in the face for words. They have become a brutal thug gang that deserves elimination, not support, until they return to what they once were.
