What is your top #1 pick for something that you have wanted to buy but never did because the item was absolutely, rediculously overpriced?
Here is mine..........
The wife & I love cats. One thing I know our cats love is those kitty cat carpeted tower / condo things. (Or whatever you call them) About 5-6 years back we got a free one from a friend. He found it outside in front of a house he was driving past so he loaded it in his SUV and brought it to us. It was in great shape!  Anyways, its starting to get a little worn out so I was at Petsmart this morning (I had to pick up some dry cat food anyways) and I stopped by the aisle where they have the cat towers on display. I could not believe the prices! $139.00 for a medium size 5 foot tall tower? That’s just stupid.  Ain’t gonna happen. I love my cats but not that much. I’m thinking there’s maybe $15 in that tower max in carpet, particle board, glue and sisal rope. How did they arrive at $139.00??
I could make my own in the garage for nothing.
Go ahead then...give me your #1 item that you feel has always been overpriced in your opinion.

One of my favorite Sega Genesis games i had back when i was a kid.. "Splatterhouse 3"..
About 5 years ago i was "rebuilding" my Genesis collection and naturally wanted to get Splatterhouse..
But apparently it was a pretty rare game back in the day, and now it sells for around $400...
Love the game.. But... Nah... lol.

I built my own cat tower. You'd never believe the story about when I finished it, so I won't bother.
I'd suggest redoing the one you have. Then tell your cat that it was rebuilt for him/her and see if you get the same response from the cat that I did.[This message has been edited by sourmash (edited 01-04-2021).]

Right now, just about anything that shoots bullets is ridiculously overpriced. I was going to use my stimulus check to stimulate the local gun shop, but not sure if $600 will buy anything decent...
