I thought about posting this a few days ago, then figured most here would say, "Who?"

Tony Rice was one of the all time great bluegrass guitar players. He passed on Christmas day.

In my humble opinion, bluegrass and dixieland require more skill than any other genre and Tony Rice was always accompanied by the absolute best of the best.

Rice, Grisman and Garcia made a heck of a good band.

Here is a brief article I read last night, which outlines his history and influence: https://www.pastemagazine.c.../tony-rice-obituary/

I know him best from his work with Mark O'Connor, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck and Sam Bush; all the "creme de la creme" at there respective instruments.
