The most controversial topic of all time? (Page 1/2)

A vid by someone who is good at making things un-controversial...

Just found it interesting, maybe you would as well.
Also I agree with him.

Thread marked religion, which I hope you can see for yourself because you don't blindly filter out your world

If this seems like it'll be too long, though it really is all good, I'd say try starting at 38:20.

Watched that live the other day. Wish he'd run for POTUS.

The most controversial topic of all time could well be any and all attempts to identify a consensus about what exactly is the most controversial topic of all time.

I'm cool with folks listing their top ten top 5?

Check out the 1:00:08 min mark.
It all has roots and foundations.

I hope you won't be offended by this, but what I see in this Warrior Poet Society is a community of firearms ownership and training enthusiasts, period. The philosophical and religious commentary that accompanies it is just along for the ride.

It's all about their commitment to the Second Amendment.

I'm not saying that's wrong. Just saying that's who they are.

As I recall, "the most controversial topic of all time" in this forum was... spark plugs.

Ya gotta be an old-timer here to remember. Champion plugs were not looked upon favorably.

See anything wrong with that? I don't.
He references that fact in this actual vid. Its "along for the ride" because he is "along for the ride".
You say that as if you think it means it isn't sincere.
You really should watch, you'd likely enjoy a lot of it.
However I would add, it was important enough to be in the company name. Its not the Warrior Society. "WS" Its "WPS", surely that denotes at least some importance...

Try the vid at 27:38

I sampled the video at various points. I found a moment where he was talking about Intelligent Design, and trying to create a credible alternative to the Darwinian Theory of Evolution as espoused by Richard Dawkins and other notable "Evolutionaries."

I found his approach unconvincing. He rattled off the names of some of the advocates of Intelligent Design, and emphasized their academic degrees and resumes.

It's an indirect way of arguing.

Is he not essentially a Christian evangelist? Not any more than that. Not any less.

I'm not sure which angle you are going for.
