Fox Business channel's Maria Bartiromo duped by imposter, 'Smithfield Foods CEO' (Page 1/1)

When I think of "Smithfield" I think of ham, but it was egg all over the face of Fox Business channel's Mario Bartiromo and the staff who produced this morning's edition of "Mornings With Maria."

quote
Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo issued an apology at the end of her Wednesday morning show after she was duped into interviewing an animal rights activist posing as the CEO of a major food processing company.

"We have an important correction to make. It appears we have been punked," the "Mornings With Maria" host said, following an interview with Matt Johnson, an activist with the grassroots network Direct Action Everywhere.

The journalist thought she had been interviewing Smithfield Foods' CEO Dennis Organ. . . .

I give her credit for apologizing and correcting the story. But a meat processor named Mr. Organ? Sophomoric, I know, but it reminds me of our local dentist Dr. Pain ...

I distinctly remember this event because I was flying into SFO two days later. We landed on the runway parallel to where the burned out hulk of the plane still sat, quietest landing in a plane I've ever experienced.

Isn't the producer responsible for what Maria apologized? They all belong to the same group of social engineers who have steered America to where we are heading.
