I needed that. MY turkey is done !!
Kim's new futon got here and I got it set up no problem. Time to toss the old couch.
except....when we brought that couch IN, we had 3 guys and took the house door off, then lifted it over the front railing.
I'm alone today. OK, I'll just cut it in half, put it on end and carry it out that way.
You ever try to "cut in half" one of the big comfy pillow couches ? The 6 rails of the frame are nothing to a sawzall.
Then the fun starts. Get out the shop knife, bolt cutters, metal blade for the sawzall, shears and preferably about 20 pounds of C-4 ! You get to spend the next 3 hours slicing, slashing, cutting, and trimming through more fabric than you knew there was on planet earth, plus an assortment of springs, wires, and somebody else's mother-in-law that got lost in there at one time.
And every time you think you got it and try to separate the parts...there is something else holding it together. AND after all that, all I got paid was one lousy nickel that fell out during the surgery.[This message has been edited by MidEngineManiac (edited 12-19-2020).]
