I always find the music by bands or singers that are in tribute to or in memory of the death of fellow musicians to be very emotional songs. It's fascinating that those in the music industry are touched by one another in a deep way and when they pass, they display love through their music that is touching to the soul.
Nightshift by the Commodores (1985) in tribute to the Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, who passed in 1984

That song was the whole '60s. It started with Buddy Holly's demise and ended with the infamous Altamont concert. 1959 to 1969, the whole story.

Ah, you're familiar with that concert? That track is still there and I decided to do some metal detecting a few years back. Found all kinds of goodies in those hills.

Yeah, 51 years ago, tomorrow. I saw the Stones here in Phoenix just a few weeks earlier. That tour was bookended by the death of Brian Jones two days before Hyde Park, and then Altamont five months later. I've done a lot of reading and watched a lot of video on the subject over the years. It was a real mess.

(from youtube comments. 2020 version: Schools close, Tom Hanks, trouble in the big banks, no vaccine, quarantine, no more toilet paper seen.
Travel ban, Weinstein, panic COVID-19, NBA blown away, what else do I have to say.
We didnt start the fire, it was always burning since the world was turning. We didnt start the fire, no we didn't light it but we tried to fight it)
and this one, tho Tom T Hall's friend wasn't really named Clayton Delaney. He was not an old man, about 20 when he died.
