I think that is from an airshow. Here's one at an airshow in the UK.

A snap shot of a pretty simple maneuver, rarely done during peace time except for shows and demonstration purposes.

I have seen a video of a H-21 Flying Banana that was REMOTE controlled into a crash...It is the second part of this video; It swings up completely to vertical before.........Crashing...I believe the first time I saw it was in Boot camp!

I think the Russians took that design to the next level!

The Mi-35 Hind:
maryjane DEC 04, 12:18 PM
The Raider and Defiant will fly circles around Hind and what Cheyene was supposed to be. And be a lot faster and with a lot less noise.
Currently flight tested at 1/2 engine power reached 205 kts, (235mph) they expect to be able to reach 250kts (280 mph).
Bell has prototyped and flown a tilt rotor version that has already flown 280 mph.
