On-air interview with infectious disease expert Dr Peter Hotez (from 27:07 to 32:09)

FIVE minutes of video from MSNBC's "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell"
Air date: 01 Dec 2020.

Dr Peter Hotez speculates that as many as 6 different Covid vaccines may become available in the U.S. during 2021.

The mRNA vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are almost certainly going to be the first options here in the U.S.

Dr Hotez has some advice for anyone who might be thinking about whether they will be able to wait and select a particular Covid vaccine instead of going with the first one that's available to them.

SPOILER ALERT

Dr Hotez thinks that as many as 6 vaccines could become available in the U.S. during the course of 2021, but his advice is to go for the first one that becomes available to you. He says that the 6 vaccines are all going to work inside your body in essentially the very same way, despite the differences in the way that they are being manufactured and distributed. It's all about the Covid virus "spike protein" and how to neutralize it.
