Is the issue that socialism and the 2nd amendment are "political"? There was no indication as to why they closed, no PM, since I've never had a thread closed I guess I don't know if Cliff indicates a reason usually? There wasnt any inappropriate arguing or anything.
**Update, the 2A thread is back in action. If you have politics banned from your view though, you wont see it. Which would be a shame.[This message has been edited by 2.5 (edited 11-09-2020).]

Views against Socialism and support for the 2nd amendment could also fall under "common sense" ... but it is definitely also considered politics.

I believe it closed, because it wasn't labeled "Politics" under the topic.
The OP then said that he intentionally didn't label it "politics", so that was a violation of terms.

Thats the thing with a place where you vote for the ability to be free in every aspect of life, everything is political. But yeah, legit. It just was not noted as to what happened.

Once a thread is posted how does one see if it is marked political? Or would they only know if they chose not to see political, ...because they don't like hearing differing opinions ..and they can see it?[This message has been edited by 2.5 (edited 11-09-2020).]

My right to defend myself and those I love isnt political. But if I have to mark it in a way so some people cant see it in order to say it, I will. Just missed the warning it seems.[This message has been edited by 2.5 (edited 11-09-2020).]

Cliff, could you lay out how to define a political thread? For example does the OP have to name a person who was ever in office? How about religion? What if a thread has both?[This message has been edited by 2.5 (edited 11-09-2020).]

I'm pretty sure a thread opening post that includes a picture of Lady Liberty slingshotting a specific president would be considered political by any stretch of the imagination, especially considering the text portion of that opening post..
A thread that opens with a statement that the subject matter is a hot political topic in the 1st sentence would also be viewed as political by a very large portion of those viewing it.[This message has been edited by maryjane (edited 11-09-2020).]

That wasn't mine. I had two threads closed as well.
