Actually, it's been pretty nice without the usual chest-thumping political bullsh!t.

I aint been near a computer or phone for most of the day. Kind of nice, actually.

I've popped in, to see if there has been anything "insightful' posted.
But mostly, I think people are listening to the election returns, and grateful (at least I am) to not have to listen to all the political ads on TV and radio.

Listening to WDVX solved that commercial problem for me. Just Americana and some Blue Grass.

I was busy getting the BMW ready for test-n-tune at the local drag strip. Actually, I'm at the track right now (between runs).

Life goes on...

Edit to add race footage. Enjoy!

I posted a couple times today in the aforementioned thread. Other than those, I was busy pounding t posts in to rocky soil. Get to do more of the same tomorrow. Really sore right now and will probably be even more sore after tomorrow. Such is life though, the weekend is almost here. I'll recoup during it. Not like I will have a chance to really do much of anything else. My wife has surgery next Monday. She has a pre-surgery Covid test Friday after which she has to self quarantine until her surgery on Monday unless her test comes up positive. Then she will quarantine for longer and surgery postponed. Hopefully it will all just be done and over with on Monday. Really hoping to go back to Cali for Christmas since it will almost certainly be my Dad's last.

Kim's in the same boat. She got cancelled Aug, Sept and Oct. Now scheduled for Nov 23, but we arent holding our breath. Things are so backed up here for minor surgery that you may as well take a date in 2026 or something. I get my stuff renewed by phone every 2 months with a 10-minute tele-consultation. They'll get to me someday. Maybe.

To tell the truth, ya know what I learned today ?

Anyone thinking about laser engraving should know 2 things.

1. Hotdogs smell terrible in a laser.
2. Your wife is not impressed by her name engraved on a hotdog.

That whole idea of opening a can of Spam with a plasma cutter ? That's not so good either.
