Paper or plastic? (Page 1/1)

As of January 1st it’s paper only. China is doing away with plastic bags and most other disposable plastic products like sporks.

I just paid an extra .1 rmb for my spoon at McDonalds. Soon it’s gone altogether. Investing in trees is the future? Who knew paper bags would save our planet?

They used to make chop sticks from wood, .

Its not about the planet, It's about the money.

The end game is to download the costs of those items to the consumer. Wont be long before we are all buying, carrying and using utensils, cloth bags, pens, sanitizer...all these little "courtesies" that make life easier will be buy or BYO.

I wouldn’t mind disposable wooden utensils. Certainly the cost would be added to the meal. I get the cheap bamboo chopsticks with delivery all the time. I wonder if McDonalds has a plan for the future?

Funny how times change. Remember when plastic was considered more environmentally friendly, "because it saves trees"?

That just shows that the tree huggers haven't got a clue.

The driving force behind the "environmental movement" is anti-capitalism and the driving force behind anti-capitalism is anti-USA.

Yeah, many are being duped. They are the embodiment of the useful idiots.

Yep, no different than corn, potatoes or spinach.
