I've managed to accumulate a few Folger's cans of supports and failed prints and cant figure out what to do with it all. At 30 bucks a roll delivered it seems a shame to just toss the stuff. Anybody tried casting with it (should melt in the toaster oven at around 375) ? And where to start for the molds ect ?

What is the working time after you pull it out of the oven?
This guy made a couple of bowls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-HWrDMr0ks
I have also seen mallets made from melted plastic. I don't know if the plastic would get to a point where you could poor it into a mold.

Woah, never thought of that. Chartrie (or however the hell you spell serving in french) boards are huge around here....melt, cut to shape, sand the edges and done. Perfect.

You can recycle it into new filament, but unless you print a LOT, it's not worth doing that...
is it ABS, PLA, etc? PLA melts around 200-210. ABS is higher.[This message has been edited by TheDigitalAlchemist (edited 10-22-2020).]
