We currently have an old DirecTV system that uses two LNBs at the dish. It uses a 4-way splitter/switch that looks just like this...

Of course, since there is no external power supply, I have to believe that the LNBs are being powered by the receiver boxes. No problem with that.
What I have, now, are three receiver boxes and televisions. I need to add two more "taps", (and maybe two more receivers/ TVs for an addition that we are building. I have looked around and haven't found any 2x5, 2x6 or 2x8 splitters or switches.
Does anyone have any idea what I need to come up with? Thanks![This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 10-26-2020).]

Thanks for that. After poking around a bit, I blundered across that same exact device. The diagrams will be useful.
Very much appreciated.
Edit - This is what I bought. Looks very straightforward, and similar to the one you posted. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KWMPNGM/[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 10-18-2020).]

Don't you work for a "major telecommunications company" that begins with the letter A and ends with letter T?
If so...........they own Direct TV don't they?

At first glance, I honestly thought that this is what you stated...
"What I have, now, are three receiver boxes and televisions. I need to add two more "taps", and maybe two more recievers/ TVs for an addiction that we are building."
When I realized my mistake, I thought it was kind of funny... as it still made perfect sense!

Indeed it does.
Except that most of what is available on... most anything - is just commercial crap. Or just commercials, period. I don't care much about TV except for the local news/weather, and the occasional movie or concert video. Otherwise, it's just background noise.
Maryjane... Indeed, I do telecom work, but I work for the power company, which doesn't afford me much exposure to anything DirecTV related. Although, sadly, I have all too much exposure to all the idiocy that is AT&T, for their leased circuits. It's so maddening that I have thought about going into politics, in a "Public Service Commission" capacity. (They really don't want that to happen, but I'd likely have to retire from my current job, beforehand, so as not to create a conflict of interest. That being the case, it's probably a moot point, anyway. By the time I retire - another 18 months - I'll probably just be ready to be done with all of it.) Also, in consideration of the stance that I would take, I'd probably have to run as a democrat. And *I* don't want that to happen.[This message has been edited by Raydar (edited 10-26-2020).]

⚠️ Caution: Do Not leave "leftover" outlets on an amp w/ nothing connected to them. Most Amps Must have termination on most to all terminals.
Many new ones come w/ some terminators but may not have enough depending on premise wiring. Others "self terminate" unused ports but only on the unit. RTFM for amp used about termination.
If you have extra term's left, bag them and note what they are... Why? Example: If you remove a "TV" box then need to terminate the cable or pull cable off the amp and terminate the open ports on the amp.
If you don't follow this rule then expect problems w/ the amp and any/every thing connected to the amp.
Terminators (has 72Ω resistor hidden in them if their simple terminators) stop signal you want getting out but RFI (Noise) being injected to everything.
Not Just Sat systems either... Many Cable service (Comcast et al) users have problems because have unterminated ends or loose ends somewhere in the house. Just 1 "bad end" or damage the cable anywhere in or on a house can kill signal to all STB or very likely your Cable Modem/Gateway for I-net.------------------ Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should. Thanks. I know all about terminations. Unterminated outputs are always a bad idea. The replacement amp came with enough terminations to cover all the unused outputs, and I think all the unused inputs as well. I think there are some on the old splitter/amp, as well.
