Africa more readily ignored the WHO's demands on how to behave for COVID-19 and their death rates didn't fit the scare-mongering. So COVID-19 doesn't target 'minorities' (ignoring that Whites are a world minority :rolleyes). It more harshly impacts obese people with weight related health issues caused by lifestyle choices.

Africans in Africa aren't obese.

There has also been some theorizing that many Africans have some kind of Covid or generic coronavirus immunity because they live or have grown up in rural settings with close contact with livestock and other animals. More so, proportionately, vs. the U.S. and other more proportionately urbanized countries.
